Christmas letter as part of your family history

This came from a newsletter I get:

    <*> Christmas Traditions <*>

I hope this year you composed a Christmas letter of family events
and experiences, and enclosed it with your Christmas cards.

Save time and money by keeping all these letters in a special
notebook or journal. Some people keep daily or weekly journals.
    They become family treasures.

However- something is always better than nothing. Take these
yearly letters and make them a part of your family history. If
you think they are not important, imagine how you would feel if
you had one from one of your ancestors- even if it was only one
    per year.

Even if you didn't send one out this year, write it now, and
    start that family history.

    dd (8), dd & dd (10), ds (20), dd (22) + dgs (3 & baby), ds (25)

Our words reveal our refinements; they tell the discerning listener of the company we have kept; they are the hallmarks of education and culture. - Dale Carnegie

I never thought about those family letters being a part of history. Ugh...to think how many I have thrown out over the years from dh's dad. Yikes!! I'll have to remember to save them from now on and maybe start writing our own...

Thanks for stopping in! Hope to see you more!
