    Preg test today!!

Our gestational surrogate is on her 2nd and final round for us. Her FET was last week. She already went in for blood work this AM so we have to drag this wait out even longer until the nurses do thier call backs this afternoon. Protocol stinks.

Please send super sticky thoughts our way- we hope dearly that this time worked!

Quick bio on us: Husband and I have been married since 2009, trying ever since. We do not have any children, just a fur baby Rocco. I have a congenital anomoly that prevents us from ever becomig pregnant naturally. I have UU (unicornuate uterus) and my ovaries are not connected, and one is up by my ribs, no right kidney... I have been through IVF 3 times, had numerous FET's myself, and 1 FET to our surro in March that resulted in a chemical pregnancy.

I just joined this a few days ago, just came across this. If anyone has any questions about anything, esp surrogate related, please feel free to ask me. I think I am pretty well versed as I have done TONS of research on all of this.

Good luck and I hope the dr's office is motivated that it's Friday and to make those calls quickly . . . the waiting is the worst . . . . . .

    Sticky thoughts!

I wanted to welcome you to the group! I am glad you found us! You sound like me when I found this forum... we were already doing surrogacy and had researched it quite well. I wish I had found it sooner because it would have made the information gathering stage more fun having all the SM's and IP's to help.

I am hoping you got a positive test!! We're here to help in any way we can.

We had a positive beta, just a low number, and it went down after the 2nd blood test. Thi sis what happened before, just started at a higher number the first time. I have started meds for a transfer to myself, probably the last one using our embryos. It should be around the 6th. I have inquired about embryo adoption, which is pretty nice- just need to find another carrier now- since my surro agreed to try 2 times for us.

    Thanks Sirell,

I need a carrier... Up for it again? We are considering using adopted embryos. If I had a uterus that was normal, I would try myself, but fell that it would be a waste to try with me. If you know of anyone, please let them know, or me, that I am looking for a GS.

    Thanks for the hugs.

Oh, sweetie, I'm so very sorry. This just stinks.

I'll be sending you lots and lots of positive thoughts that your upcoming transfer to yourself is successful and then you can put all this heartache behind you.

Keep us updated as you progress! I'll be thinking about you!

I'm sorry it didn't work for you. Have you talked to your surro about trying one more time with donated embryos? Maybe she would reconsider if you were switching things up and perhaps a better chance of success. Is this a compensated surrogacy or family member? If it's compensated, two tries isn't very much after the costs of testing and contracts. If there's other reasons that you guys agreed on for only twice, nevermind and I wish you well.

My surro is/was my best friend. She has a crazy work schedule, so had to push off lots of travel to do the 2 she did. I will probably ask her, eventually (hopefully I wont have to) if she would do one last round. Right now I am in the middle of the crappy wait. I had my transfer (of our last 2 frozen embies) and this Friday is the beta. Since I have had so many already, along with 2 unsuccesful with a surro, I dont know what to think. I am certainyl still hopeful, but who knows. I am rady to try with donor embryos next, just need to get my hubby on board. This was all very much for him to take in the first place- so might just take some time to get his used to the idea. He is ok with adopting, so its really the same difference, just could be a heck of a lot cheaper, if it worked with me.
I will keep you all posted on what Friday's results bring. Thanks for all the messages- they all really do help, even though on this subject.
