So, our RE thawed two of our 5 day blasts . . . both survived the thaw and apparently were SO excited to move from the petri dish to our GS's warm and loving uterus, that they hatched themselves. Hopefully they are burrowing in nice and snug for the next 9 months! Our RE says everything went well . .. . our GS's lining was great . . . so now we wait. Originally, I thought first beta was going to be 7/11, but our RE said today, perhaps as early as next Monday!
Anyhow . . prayers are appreciated . . . and fingers and toe crossing too!!!!!

Hi Sirell -
The actual transfer was yesterday, Monday, July 2. Two 5 day blasts. First beta is scheduled for next Monday the 9th . .. I'm honestly surprised the RE will test that early, but if that means our 2ww is only one gut-wrenching, torturous week . . . I'll take that. Of course, then there will be (hopefully) stressing over doubling rates, then the first u/s . .. . as many of my IF friends said - you think once you get a positive beta, the worrying ends .. .. it actually gets worse. But I'm happy to take on more worrying!!!!

So that's a good question . .. if it was me, I'd already be POAS . . . I would love for her to take a hpt but i don't want to pressure her . . . . and I'm not sure how to bring it up . . . . and with it being a 5dt, not sure when an hpt would show a positive result . . . . thoughts?

I've done several 5-day transfers and always started HPTing around 5 to 6dpt. But, but but. . . HPT are not full proof. Your real answer will be the betas.
I had several IPs who wanted me to HPT and wanted to know the results, then I had a few that knew I was going to HPT, but they did not want to know the results. Just make sure if you do ask her if she is going to HPT, that you will be ok with the results regardless.
I only ever used First Response HPTs also.
Keep us posted! I'm so excited for you!!!

Thanks for the advice . . . yesterday when she emailed me she said she had dreamt that she took a hpt and it was positive and she was thinking about going out to get one . . . I told her I certainly wouldn't be opposed, but I also knew that the beta was the ultimate decider and that it was still early . . . so we'll see what happens . . . . there are times when I rue the 3 hour time difference . . .. as my friends said, "welcome to the weekend that will spin the slowest on the earth's axis ever!"
