Facetime....

I have only done this a few times but it was really nice to do this with BOTH our SM's before Mother's Day. DH and I got to see 1st SM and her DH and her 5 kids and even the grandbaby on the phone. (still can't believe she is MY age and is a grandmother!!!) Felt like we were right there with them and could even see the smoke from them BBQing!!! Also got to facetime with 2nd SM and her DH and her 2 boys. Got to see their whole farm they have recently started since moving 2 months ago. Heard the chickens sqwalking and saw the baby cows. It was really nice to connect with both SM's. Anyone else get to chat with the women that helped them become a mother?

We didn't use a surrogate. It was the next step if our DE cycle didn't work.
However, our egg donor was/is a good friend of mine. We talked to her on Mother's Day. (I call her every Mother's Day to thank her for my Mother's Day). The kids got to talk to her, they know their story and how she helped me be their mommy. They talked to her about everything under the sun. To them it is absolutely no big deal at all that they were born from DE, and their donor is just a person in their lives. They are understanding it more and more and the more they understand it is such a non issue to them.
