Several times a day I get a weird chill, like I have a fever (I don't), and just cannot get warm. It's like I'm cold on the inside. The house is up to 75*, everyone else is in shorts, and I'm shivering and wrapped in blankets! Hot tea helps some. I dream of soaking in a hot tub or sitting in a hot car! Any ideas about what's going on?

Sounds like you might be anemic. Mention this symptom to your doctor the next time you go in. I had this when I was anemic. I was also very fatigued with it as well. Hope this helps.

Really? I take a vitamin that has 100% iron and eat meat every day! Could I need more? Too much iron gives me... um... 'slow intestines'

I was taking Iron supplements forever and was not absorbing it. It is possible. I would just run it by your doctor and maybe they will order a CBC just to check. Do you have any weird cravings like ice or anything else?

You know, I think you are right. My gums are really pale and so are my fingernails. I'll give my dr. a call. And I do crave ice, I fill up a cup of it and then water. Tastes so good! I'm not chewing it, my sensitive teeth couldn't handle it! We have really hard water here, its wonderful to drink! Thanks for the help!

No problem....when I was anemic I couldn't get enough ice and it had to be a certain kind too lol. I work close to the hospital and I would go there just to get cups of ice but only one machine had the kind I wanted. It was crazy. Once I got my iron up no more craving's at all and no longer feeling cold all the time. Hope it resolves soon for you.

Shereen is right - get your iron levels checked.
It could also be a hormonal imbalance. I get exactly the way your are feeling right now after I deliver each time when my hormones are all out of whack. It's a horrible feeling not being able to get warm enough.
Call your doc sweetie and see what they say.

I called the dr., they said it probably wasn't my iron 'cause I had a test done a few weeks ago and it was really good. May it's just hormones?
