The Surrogacy Discussions BB is to help educate and support those going through the surrogacy process, those who are considering the option to help build/create their family, and those who are interested in becoming a surrogate.

Rules of Use Policy for Fertile Thoughts:

By participating in FertileThoughts message boards and/or chats, you are agreeing to abide by our rules listed below and our disclaimer. Our rules are not designed to discourage you from being yourself but rather to keep FertileThoughts as a safe haven for people in need of information and support. We reserve the right to remove any post or picture.


Harassment from other sites

You may not, and agree that you will not, use other internet websites for the purpose of harassment, name calling, insults, slander, or "flaming", of other members of FertileThoughts. If you still go a head and do so, you are violating our policies of Respect and Privacy, and you will be temporarily or permanently banned from FertileThoughts at our discretion.

You may not, and agree that you will not, reproduce, publish, display, or post information obtained from or through any part of the FertileThoughts web site onto another internet web site, computer-related environment, or any other form of media, electronic, print or other, without the express written permission of FertileThoughts or the original author of the material.

Copying and pasting threads, blogs, photos, images, or other information from the message boards, or any other part of the FertileThoughts web site onto another internet site or medium, without the written permission FertileThoughts and/or of the original author, violates our policy of Respect and Privacy. Such offenders will be temporarily or permanently banned from FertileThoughts at our discretion.


A safe place for you

We will do everything possible to ensure that our chats, discussion boards and other web site applications, are safe and friendly to you.

Respect

Our most important rule of all is respect for other members using Fertilethoughts. We invite and encourage a healthy exchange of opinions and ideas; disagreements are okay. If you disagree with a member's post or opinion in our chatrooms and discussion boards, by all means, state your opinion even though it might differ from the person you are directing it to. However, any post on the bulletin board, blogs, photoalbum or message submitted in the chatrooms must be given with a sense of respect and caring for the other person. The real objective of our community is to learn more about infertility and other family-building challenges, meet new friends and most of all, not feel alone. Name calling, insults, slander, "flaming" and attacks are not appropriate and will not be tolerated. By doing so, you are violating our policy and risk being temporarily or permanently banned from FertileThoughts. We log all messages to give us this capability. As a rule of thumb – do not post anything about another person that you would not want others to post about you.

Commercial Posts

Please do not post commercial messages or solicitations in Fertile Thoughts' message boards or in our chatrooms. This includes messages promoting your small or home-business as well as any other businesses, request for good-cause donations, contributions, charities, etc. Furthermore please do not link to personal or commercial sites offering services (including IVF, Surrogacy, Adoption etc.) or items for sale from your signature. This is equal to advertising and will not be tolerated. If you wish to advertise please contact us and a representative will get back to you with information.

Do not post links to your ebay (or other auctions sites) items for sale on Fertile Thoughts' message boards or in our chatrooms. We don't object to these posts so long as they are done on the specific boards where these posts may be appropriate. It's the "Small Business, employment, Ebay and other opportunities" boards under Community Forum. Posted anywhere else these posts are a nuisance and will be moved or removed. Repeat offenders may be banned from the site.

Spam

Spam is not allowed. Spammers will be banned from the site permanently. Spam massages are repeated posts of any type – commercial, phishing, and messages where the poster has an agenda which makes or does not make sense. We do not tolerate spam. Let me repeat – we DO NOT tolerate spam.


Medication and Drugs

Federal regulations strictly FORBID sale or any type of exchange of medications online. Posting messages of that type is not allowed. This includes messages offering fertility medications for sale, or soliciting the sales of prescription medications as well as seeking to donate or receive such medication as donation. These posts will be deleted and repeat offenders may be banned from the site without further warning. We reserve the right....

FertileThoughts reserves the right to remove a post which does not relate to the topic being discussed in the board. FertileThoughts also reserves the right to prohibit or delete messages that are thought to violate applicable law or that may be harmful to other members or the rights of FertileThoughts (including the sale of or solicitation of the sale of prescription drugs and posts from sperm donors/sellers). FertileThoughts also reserves the right to prohibit or delete messages if the offended party writes us requesting it's removal. FertileThoughts does not have the ability to restrict conduct or communications that might violate FertileThoughts rules of use policy prior to transmission, nor can we ensure prompt removal of offending message board posts.

Please get permission before posting any copyrighted material on this site. (Literature and images) If you don't have permission please don't post it. If we find out that posts made on this site breach copyrights we will remove them without warning and may ban the poster from this web site.
