    (PG/LOSS MENT)

I found out 10 years after appendticitis, and the resulting surgery, that pelvic adhesive disease destroyed my tubes, and left my ovaries covered in scar tissue. After removing the damanged tubes (and a very large fibroid, but that's another story), we found sucesss with both IVF (3 embryos = singleton) and FET (1 (!) 5 day blast = singleton). Its been a long 3.5 year journey for us to parenthood, and we are still in shock that we'll be meeting our little girl within the next 2 weeks. Our path has taken us through many incredible lows, very few highs, but we realized early on that hope, holding on to a sense of humor, and at times a lot of really good wine, will get us through.

Hoping everyone here nothing but success in 2008!

    Here's my success story!!!

Concieved naturally in June 2001 (without really trying 3 months of no protection) and gave birth to a healthy son in February 2002 at 36 weeks gestation. He's now 6 years old.

Began TTC for # 2 again in May 2005 and within 6 months of no BFP became concerned. I was 31 at the time and my husband was 39. Through the advice of close friends, we saw an RE for an initial workup in February 2006 and after many tests including an HSG in April 2006 learned I suffered with a right hydro tube. This was such a surprise to me. No reason was given as to HOW I got the hydro.

I debated repair over removal but thanks to reading alot online of the pros and cons of each, I ultimately decided on removal and so my lap was done on June 30, 2006.

I got my first menstrual cycle after surgery 3 weeks later on July 21, 2006 and we "went for it" between CD 10-18. Figured we had nothing to lose and EVERYTHING to gain. On August 16 I got a BFP.

I carried a second beautiful son to term this time (just born 2 days shy of the initial due date) . We welcomed Caleb Jude into the world in April 2007. Currently he's almost 9 months old and the easiest baby ever!!! I just love watching him and our firstborn interact with one other. Such a blessing

Good Luck to all here. I pray that you will all get your BFP's soon!!

I have damaged tubes. In 6/07 for the 1st time in my life, I managed to get pg on my own, the old fashionend way, while not EVEN trying. Just dumb luck! It was shocking, and wonderful! The egg was fertilized and made it all the way into my uterus and implanted and grew for several weeks. Something was wrong and it never did have a heart beat. I ended up choosing to have a d&c at 8 weeks because it may have been much longer before things happened naturally. So, even though this did not have a happy ending, I was still so amazed and now a little hopeful that this actually even happened. I am 36, been ttc for 10 years and have only had success with IVF previously.
