A quick hello

I'm wishing I could go to Hawaii or Grenada or someplace warm - I'm so sick of the cold weather & snow...

Anyway, just a quick hello... It looks as if this board is very very slow lately... That is sad, it used to be so much more active... I know there are still a lot of people dealing with the TTC & step parenting issues & need some support on this level... Maybe it's because it doesn't have a BC???

I would love to hear how everyone is doing... Any updates or good news around here???

Not much with us... The Skids thing is kind of a non issue for us at the moment... We are in the USA & they are 2000 miles away in Canada... Their Mom refuses to let them talk to us except through IM's & e-mail... We are very worried about Bethany though, she is 14yrs old - Exclusively dating a 17yr old (Yes the dang EO allows that!)UGGGHHH!!!! And her avatar for IM's is one of two things - an image of a marajuana leaf or the playboy bunny image... We have mentioned it to her & all she says is "Well Mom doesn't care"... Things are out of our hands... We haven't see them in about a yr - our DS Seth is 7 months old & has never met any of them... Cheyenne (almost 3yrs) can not even remember them --- It's sad & amazing how one evil wicked woman can cause so much pain in so many lives... Oh yeah I forgot, EO has also moved in with yet another guy (seems she changes once a yr or more) - So the Skids are stuck getting used to yet another home, another school, new friends, a new town, a new father-type of figure & his kids too... Plus this one is still married & refuses to divorce his wife... Man EO sure is a great example to those 4 kids... The oldest (Becky-18) has been on her own for the last two yrs... Joe (16) is rarely home & the two youngest (Bethany 14 & Sarah 12) want desperately to move here with us & of course EO is still refusing... It drives us nuts... But on a personal note - at least we are not stuck dealing face to face with EO anymore & that is a HUGE HUGE HUGE blessing...

As for us (KIDS MENT)

We are doing well - The kids are great! Getting so big so fast... Cheyenne is as smart as can be & loves to sing & dance & play games... She talks quite well, but we still have a bit of trouble understanding some things she says... She is completely potty trained & has been for about a yr. She is finally sleeping in her own bedroom now too - YEAH!!!! Seth is crawling & pulling himself up on furtinture & trying to walk around that way - I think he'll be walking soon... David has the best job he has ever had & really enjoys it most days... The pay is not bad (could be better though) but they say it's just a starting point... We just bought a new home (our 1st) - We love it! It's a few (3)yrs old, but totally new to us... It's not our dream home, but for a 1st house, it's better then most... We hope to sell it in a couple yrs & build our dream home though... I'm just staying at home with the kids, but trying to find a way to work from home too... No luck with that yet though...

Anyway, so much for my "quick" hello... I would love to hear from anyone who is still around here...

Big hugs to you all...
