After living in Houston all my life. Is anyone near Colorado???

What brings you to Colorado?? I am very surprised to hear that you are moving. How are your sd's taking the news or are they going with you? Best of luck with your move Anne. It will be fun! Do you know anyone there? I must say one of my best experiences with moving is packing up the necessities, selling the rest, and moving to a State where I didn't know a soul, have a job lined up. It was great and I would do it again in an instant if I could get dh to agree to it. Dh has lived in Colorado and says that it's lovely. Maybe I can convince him to move back so we can be neighbors!

We're about 12 hours from CO--you'll just HAVE to come to Vegas, you're too darn close NOT to!

Moving is a big change for us. We (and our families) have always lived in Houston. We are transferring because of Dh's job. I think this is a mountain he needs to climb. So I am supporting his decision. I am excited and scared all at once. One of my SDs wants to move with us. We are really shocked and happy about that. She has had a really hard time in the past couple of years shouldering a lot of responsibilities due to her mom's illness. I think she is just ready to live like a 13 year old girl for a while. I really wish the other SD would consider going, but I don't think she will. Maybe someday....
Anyway, that is why we are moving.
I can't wait to come to Vegas! It would be fun to have a girls night out!

Best of luck with your move to Colorado! I understand the nervousness about leaving your "home" and moving to a new state, but I am sure it will work out for you and your little family. It will be exciting and just think, no one there knows anything about your past unless you tell them! Isn't that exciting?? You will have to keep in touch with us once you get settled and let us know how things are going out there. I have a brother that lives in Utah and like I said before dh used to live in CO, so maybe if I ever get a chance to come out that way, I could stop by to say HI!

Moving is definitely a big step. I can totally relate to what you are going through since I relocated to Georgia after living in California my entire life. It is different, but very nice. I did adjust rather quickly as we were waiting on our house to be completed. I was also able to transfer in my same position as we are both with the same agency.

Change is good. I will pray that this move will be as wonderful to you and your family as my move to Georgia has been.

(((((HUGS))))) Colorado is a very nice place... The mountains are gorgeous!!! I live in Utah - Right next door... When I moved to Ontario Canada for 6yrs, I could not believe how much I missed the Rocky Mountain area... What part of Colorado are you moving too??? I am glad to hear that SD is moving with you... I hope that you have an easy move & that you absolutely love it when you get there... I'm sure that if nothing else, you will enjoy the dry weather rather than all that humidity in Houston...
