Any spring projects churning in peoples minds lately?
Here are mine!
1)Stain furniture- My dad gave my sister & I some antiques but theye were...ready for this???...BRIGHT orange!
So I sanded, and sanded, and sanded, then sanded some more. Days, maybe a week went by and still..you guessed it...I sanded.
FINALLY I saw bare wood, but by then I hated looking at the **** thing, so I left it. Today I bought some plants. Ironically one with an ORANGE flame-like flower, a miniature palm tree (bonzai) and a pure white orchid.
I wanted to put them on the table I have to finish, so I am going to stain and varnish it on Thursday.
2)Furniture rearranging- facing all the furninture toward the sunny windows now that we should be getting spring sunshine anytime.
3) Install the new closet bars I bought today in the kids new rooms/closets, so I can move them out of sd's room, then move sd into her room in the basement & turn her room into my own walk in closet! WooHoo!
Anyone else have any spring projects they want to get started?

Am I the only one with Spring Fever here?
I finished the projects above, AND I painted the diningroom yesterday. 40 hours in all! But I recruited my little sisters help, suckered my mom into helping (for a Wendys combo-lol) and guilted my older sister to help too (for using my laptop-hehe)
I wanted chocolate wainscotting (bc it is too expensive to replace it w/ drywall) and hot pink walls!
Instead I wossed-out at the paint counter and bought a semi-pastel pink, and ceme for the wood.
Turns out, i should stick to my original instinct, bc now I have a diningroom that looks like a candy shop!
Hubba Bubba pink gum colored walls, and creme wood wainscotting (thge wood looks fab!), and chocolate furniture!
Ikes! Oh well...good base-coat? for when I get sick of barfing when I look at it!-LOL It is like looking at Pepto Bismal...really.
Debbie Travis woulf be ashamed!
So...I have striped curtains and upholstery that I am too broke to change. The stripes are lime, gold and raspberry.
(Keeps getting better-haha!)
I MIGHT be able to pull it all together...somehow, but it still looks like a candy store
Dh is going to be STUNNED when he gets home! He loved the wood! I won though bc now it looks good all painted out. If you don't look too closely at the pink!
OK ladies - OTHER PROJECTS!!!
Its SPRING now!
Soon I will be able to go make some money, so we have to get some projects on the go go go before I get too busy to be so pushy!
Dust off the oven coseys
and find a project & share!

Hello Stacy,
I plan to clean out my desk at work and home. I also plan to clean my closets out again. I am in the mood to organize everything! Wow, there is so much to do this spring.

HJ - I shouldn't even comment. Lets just say..
My desk?? No way! I'll be waiting on that one till the secretary gets back to work!-
I still have the pink!
Gross as it is, I have too much else on the go.
I haven't rehung the curtains though because I plan to repaint it...whenever.
Might just make me think of throwing the curtains in the wash too.
Cleaning out my own closets (figuratively)...ON the list!
And...I am going to church!
I went last week, and I am going this sunday.

I have also started sanding the kitchen furniture. Didn't finish it yet, but I started it. Kinda a thing like...if I start the sander, I block out all the noise around me. Now I HAVE to sand the set!
Grr!
Oh well..I got out of raking the yard when the landscaper showed up and offered to do it and bill me later
I'm sure I will have more
Stacy! I'd say your going to have MANY projects on the go soon!
