It's been a year! And what a wonderful year its been (update and child mnt)

Hi everyone!
As the title states, its been a year and what a wonderful year its been!
(Well not all of it but most of it)
I just wanted to update. Life has thrown me many curves some good, some excellent, some not so good!
First of all, Hunter Isaac turned a year old on September 25, 2005! I can't believe he's already a year old. I still look at him, and kiss and hug him, and still can't believe he is here. It still amazes me that my body actually did something right, ONCE! For those of you ttc, I really can't get you any advice except that you have no control over anything. There was nothing done different in this pregnancy than my losses, except a different father, and my ex went on to have a beautiful girl in February 2005. Go figure, he saved the best sperm for someone else. (Maybe not, but it sure feels that way sometimes)
Below are pictures of us from Hunter's birthday party.
As for me, we bought a new house in March, had it vinyl sided, rewired, replumbed, and a new roof put on, besides painting and new carpeting. I think we should have just bought a new house instead of doing all that, lol. The next major project we have to do is insulate the house and then put our heating system in. (We have it, just have to put it in)
I also changed jobs, where I am the director of medication. Just a fancy title that means I do all the research and leg work when the new medication administration records have to be done for the next month, besides that I do floor nursing in the nursing home. It's not a bad job, just tiring considering what I have yet to update on.
Which leads me to my health. You know I was a severe gestational diabetic and when I had Hunter, even staying on my diabetic diet, I ballooned up to almost 300lbs, and was a size 26/28. My blood pressure went funky, and my cholesterol was out of this world, so after consultations the doctor and i decided on Gastric bypass surgery. Which i had March 28th, and again on March 30th to repair a ruptured spleenic artery. (To make a long story short, I almost bled to death and I received 5 units of blood) I had many complications and I came home 16 days later! Everything started going fine until August, when lucky me decided to pass two kidney stones and landed back in the hospital for three more days. Kidney stones are not fun! I don't wish them on anyone! EVER! they HURT! Right now I have lost 100lbs and I am a size 16!
The step-daughters are doing much worse, both have been suspended from school already this year for disruptive behavior, talking incessantly, and for even kicking another student, they are both on final warning on the bus for disruptive behavior and not sitting in their seats. DH and I are at our wits end with them and we are starting family counselling next week. (DSS here is involved too because of something DH did. Not going into it here, too long ) Anyway the counselling is mandated and I am glad, I feel the girls need it. Something is not right with their behavior and DH and I can't seem to be a team and get anything right. The oldest is repeating third grade and the youngest is in first.
I guess that about sums up my year. I Have been very busy!
SYM: I did figure out the brain teaser for you, the answer is in another post. I have been anxious to hear from you.
Davesgirl: Thanks for keeping the boards alive. I would love to hear updates when you have time.
Scoute: I would love to see updated pics of your miracles, Jasen and Jenna. I remember you whole pregnancy, and the sad time before your miracles came.
Tanya T. The pictures of cheyenne are gorgeous! They were just too big for me to post here. Since I have some time today I will try to resize them to fit in FT for you.
Everyone else and the newbies: Welcome and I pray your IF journey is very short and filled with success very soon.

~~~~~~~~~~hugs~~~~~~~
I had a long reply and lost it, urrrggghh!
I love the pics of Hunter, he is adorable. im sorry youve had a rough time with your health and the girls. I hope the counseling helps. So many of our s-kids here (mine included) have psychological problems and i believe its from having a parent abandon them and all the BS they go thru.
I will be taking some pre-halloween pics of the kids and will share them. They are getting so big. They keep me very busy but are still total blessings and the joys of my life.
take care,
Lisa
