I must add, even when I was a student at Uni and living in my own apartment on a tiny budget I would buy brand name, I did not buy cheese that were expensive I would wait for sales or wine and I was very creative with cooking, with a chicken I would make a broth and soup, pieces of chicken went into a pasta salad, and a brown rice with veggies and sandwiches and I would buy the veggies that cost the least like carrots, turnip, cabbage and on sale tomatoes.. I never ate a Kraft dinner box, I made my own with milk and cheese (on sale) and at bit of four and so on. I learn to wash and clean with vinegar and baking soda. When I moved in with my BF who is now my DH I remember being so happy to buy great tasting cheese like goat cheese, gruyere, parmesan..wow I was in Heaven!
