    Do your kids attend VBS?

I'm just curious of how many people send their kids to VBS. This is my third year of being in charge of our church's VBS and this year the theme is Crocodile Dock. I tell ya, it's hard to get people to volunteer to help and it's very stressful week for me. Thankfully, ours is in June this year so I won't have to worry about it all summer. Don't get me wrong, it's totally worth it, it's just a rough week for me but I love seeing all of the kids having fun.

Yes even though we don't attend any church. They go to VBS at the nearest church to us, where they also take dance and soccer. They have a ton of volunteers. They must have hundreds of kids participate.

No, dd never attended, we don't practice any religion but DD does go to a Catholic private school with some teaching (very mild and not too much) but I just make sure that she understands that this the is believes of Catholics but other religion can believe in other things and explain also Darwin's theory of evolution. And she is welcome to believe what ever she wants that is is personal.

I'm going to leave the theological discussion out of it because I am 100% Christian (Protestant-Nazarene) and I don't want to alienate you.

VBS is awesome and your DD would have a ton of fun.

We only have about 50 faithful adults that are active in our church and half of those are elderly and aren't able to help. But we do what we can and usually get about 50 kids to our VBS.

On avg, my kids go to 4-5 different one's. There are 2 churches that offer a free VBS, then they go to ours (I'm also 1 of the volunteers) and this will be the 2nd year my oldest is a volunteer, not a regular attender. Depending on 2 other churches, if they are doing the same one as ours, I will send DD#1 to 1 of them (she's in summer school during ours), and then the 5th depends on what the church is charging this year. It's "one" activity that we all look forward to every summer. Mine miss Awana during the summer, so this help tide them over.

I honestly have never heard of a church charging for VBS. That astonishes me. I have fund raisers and I borrow VBS materials from other churches to try to keep our costs down but I can't imagine charging a child to come to VBS. I'm sure that they have their reason abd I don't mean to judge, I could just never do that.

Having said that, I hope they don't charge much so your DD can attend. I think it's great they they attend so many!
