Back home from Vacation .

Hi everyone .
Hope everyone is doing well . We are finally back home from vacation . I'm so happy to be home . It was great to see all of my family , but I sure did miss my routine here at home .

While I was on vacation we celebrated Liam's 6 month birthday and he is sitting up completely on his own now . He also has been moved to his full size crib . He started out in a bassinet , then to a pack n play bassinet , now to his crib . But still in our room .

He is also teething something terrible ! Oh my goodness , the poor child gets simply miserable sometimes . It has started messing up his sleep and eating now to . And he has started fighting sleep . I sure hope we get past this soon . Mommy needs a nap .

I was going to come and update earlier tonight , but we had thunderstorm and tornado warnings . We are all fine , but it sure did mess up our town a little bit with down trees and no power and floading streets . I took some pictures as the storm moved in . I'll try to post a couple . My neighbors pool is now in my back yard . The storm came in around 6pm tonight . It was sunny one minute and the next dark as night .

I'm heading to bed for now . It's late .
I'll do some catching up tomorrow .

I'm glad you all got home safe and sound. We had a pretty bad storm here tonight too but not as bad as what you had. A mechanic's garage burnt down out the road due to being struck by lightning. Fire trucks from all over the place went to help out.

I understand the teething. Annaliese has been going through that on and off for about a month. She'll usually sleep 10 hours through the night but she'll have nights every once and awhile that she's up every hour and I'm assuming it's teething. I wish they'd pop through already!

I look forward to hearing more about your trip! Hope you get a good nights rest.

I'm glad you had a nice vacation! I know how good it is to be home! I heard that letting babies gnaw on a cold carrot is a good teething thing. I never tried it but I thought it was interesting.

Storms scare the beejeebies out of me! I'm glad I moved out of tornado alley. Now I just have to worry about hurricanes but at least we get a little more warning.

Hi all .
Much Much nicer weather so far today lol . Sunny blue skies .

While we were on vacation , it was pretty much just for rest and relaxation . And the family wanted to see Liam . So while there we did a whole lot of NOTHING ! I did hit some flea markets / yard sales / antique stores with my Mom . We love that kind of thing . Also did some yard work / landscaping in their yard to help out . My Dad has a bad wrist . He lost 80% use of his wrist and hand . We also had bad storms with tornados there for 4 nights straight ! So some quality time in the basement lol . Also while I was vistiting , I went to a " SEETHER " concert with my Brother and Sister in law . I really love all types of music . I'm not sure I really have a favorite kind . But as far as Rock Music goes , Seether by far is my favorite lol . So , I was very excited to get those tickets . And I was literally right next to the stage ! So , that was my first night spent away from Liam . I left him with my Parents . He was a very good boy for them , but they were certainly ready to see me come back that next day ! lol . Also while on vacation I got new living room / dining room furnature . My DH and Dad delivered it to our house while I stayed and spent some time with just my Mom alone . We also celebrated my Parents Anniversary , My Mom's birthday , Father's Day , Liam's 6 month birthday , AND my Sister's birthday all while there . Whew ! My Sister in law's birthday is next week . Sorry but I wont be there for that one . I'm staying HOME ! And while there , 2 Aunts and my Uncle came to vistit . So we were very busy people . I spent alot of time on the front porch looking at the pond and watching the swarms of hummingbirds my Mom has .

But back to reality now . I came home to a house full of new furnature all misplaced because my DH and Dad had no idea how to put it ! I've been working on that and getting settled back in since Monday . Seems like I'm always flip flopping my house around . It never ends . But that's ok , it's right up my alley . I'll post a couple pics of at my Parents house and pond .The concert and DH and I after the concert .

So that was our vacation in a nut shell .

That pond is beautiful! I love watching the humming birds. Very relaxing. I'm blessed to live in the country so I love all of the green.

As for the furniture. I never move anything! It will probably be in the same place forever, lol.
