    Cruise Update

We had a very good time and ds said our vacation exceeded his expectations. I would have loved more time to explore the Bahamas & Key West. Our snorkeling excursion in Key West was cancelled due to a delay in Port Canaveral. Coast Guard questioned some of the passengers...can you say OFAC! We just wandered around Key West, went to the aquarium and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was small but very hands on. Got to touch a number of sea urchins, see the sharks being fed and lots of great info about them. Ate at Guy Harvey restaurant which was fabulous!! I believe they are also located in Panama City.....I highly recommend them.

Atlantis was AWESOME and I will be planning a trip to stay there. The water park was great. My little man was sooooooo happy which made me happy.

The ship only had one pool so it was very very crowded. It was a nice relaxing vacation. I think a girl's weekend cruise would be fun. A group of my friends and I might take the one out of Mobile and go to Mexico. I would like to take ds on a Disney Cruise.

I saw your pics on FB but haven't looked at them yet. Didn't you leave out of Jax? I'm glad you had fun!! I really want to go on a cruise in the near future. Did they have kids' activities on board the ship?

    Dixie,

Yes, I left out of Jax which would be very convenient for you. They have kids activities but ds did not participate in them. He is eleven and his group went from like 5 - 11. The next group was 12 - 14 I think. It looked like more girls than boys in the Camp Carnival activities. He wants to go on another cruise. I bet your girls would love it.

Sounds like it was great! Glad that you and DS enjoyed yourselves!

(DM, you should also check out the cruises that leave from Port Canaveral. There are a bunch of good options.)
proud mom to a wonderful 10 year old DD!
