I don't like how real life gets in the way of FT sometimes...LOL
My workload has increased at my job; I'm not complaining (much) because I am thankful for the job, but it would be nice to have some more free time. Things should be settling down again soon, I hope! I traveled to Wisconsin for a week in January and to Iowa for a week in February, both for work. In between those two trips, I had to get all four of my wisdom teeth pulled, which is something I had been putting off for a while due to my fear of the dentist and fear of being put under!
My mom came down to FL to help me, since I couldn't drive myself home from the oral surgeon, and ended up staying a few weeks. In retrospect, that probably wasn't such a great idea...LOL. She is back home now.
DD is doing great. Her smile always makes me smile and is what keeps me going and motivated most days. She is doing very well in school and is still all gung ho about gymnastics. (She is on the competitive team now and is up to 6 hours a week at the gym; she will start competing in the fall.)
She asked for and got a guitar for her birthday/Christmas and is taking guitar lessons once a week after school at extended day. I don't know that she's really learned much, but she seems to be enthusiastic about it. I think she thinks she is Taylor Swift or an American Idol contestant. The school is having a little guitar/piano/violin "concert" on Friday night for the parents. Gotta run out today and try to find a black skirt from her to wear, because they have to wear "black and white semi-formal attire", which of course, as luck would have it, she doesn't have.
You guys have been in my thoughts. I hope to have more time to catch up with what everyone here has been up to and how you are all doing. I feel out of the loop.![]()

glad to see you back! Sounds like life is going well for you. My baby got a guitar for Christmas and her uncle is teaching her chords now. Isn't it cute watching them play?
