Welcome!!

Tell us a little about yourself... Are you a SAHM? Do you have 2 boys who are 7? (okay, just a guess from your name) Do you have any hobbies?

My girls are 7 (nearly 8) and I work full-time. With sports, church, Brownies, and the like, we are so busy. When I get some time to myself, I have NO problem planting my bottom in the recliner. I have really gotten into reading. I also watch a few shows during the week.

Anyway, welcome!

welcome to our wonderful board. (No I'm not biased at all.)

Sorry you are dealing with all this now but I'm sure you'll find some friends here.

I'm another Floridian...new to the area but I got here as fast as I could and I'm not going anywhere now.

I just moved here after my husband left. Im in Ft Lauderdale. I was a SAHM but now with him gone, I have gone back to work, only fair thing for my boys. Not going to rely on him for anything. I have 2 4y/o boys, only ones keeping me sane. Found this site via doctor, more of a support group thing.

Good for you for posting!!!

You know, work has kept me sane when I was going through my divorce. It was a place where I could get away from the madness. It is hard to get back to work, but it can really help get yourself out there. There is something to be said for not relying on "him" for anything. Good thing, too. My ex lost his job and it didn't effect me too much.

The transition from being married to being single can be hard. But there are SO many things that are positive, too. Try to focus on that. You are probably grieving for the loss of your marriage. Let yourself grieve. It is okay to be sad. But know that it gets so much better.

Feel free to PM me if you want to "talk"....

Welcome!!

I have twin girls who are turning 9 in a few weeks. I have been a single parent (officially) for 3 years. Still going through a divorce.

While it is hard to get used to, in time you will see some big positives. For me, it was the peace & not jumping 15 feet every time I heard the door rattle. I never knew what type of mood he would be in when he came home.
