LOL Tosha! I can't imagine what it would be like to have 2 guys in there moving around. I remember later on in my first pregnancy, I could watch my whole stomach move as Patrick would shift positions and stretch. It was the weirdest thing ever. He loved to stretch out. Funny thing is, he HATED to be swaddled. From day 1 he liked to sleep with his hands over his head and his legs spread open. He sleeps like that to this day. I gave away the swaddle wraps I had for him, but I bought a few more for Zachary. We'll see if he likes to be swaddled or not....

I had a dr appointment with my regular dr for a check of my blood pressure meds. Good thing I had an appointment today! I woke up this morning feeling out of sorts. Kind of nauseous and really light headed and dizzy. I just assumed it was due to my blood pressure, so I brushed it off and went to work. All day I just felt "off". Went to the dr and I have a fever and a bladder infection. So now I am on antibiotics. Good news is my blood pressure was okay. lol Also I am 23 weeks, but measuring 21 weeks. I measured small the entire time with Patrick, so I'm not worried. He said that it could be due to the baby being transverse, or it could just be I have small babies.

DAwn Im so glad they caught the bladder infection! And measuring small...I will never know what that means!!! LOL!

I went to doc yesterday as well. Blood pressure was actually low (99/68) but they were not overly concerned since it hasnt always been that low and I told them I was starving! I am up 25 pounds, and my belly at 22 weeks is measuring 30 weeks! LOL! Both babies are 1 pound 4 oz each! I love those growth measurments..they are so fun!

How is everyone else and the babies?

Hi Everyone! Been out of the loop while I was traveling for my grandfather's funeral, and now I'm turning around for our little trip up the coast--I guess this summer vacation is our "babymoon" (such a silly name, but we're having fun with it). Dawn, I'm so sorry to hear you haven't been well, thank gosh the blood pressure is staying steady, but I imagine a bladder infection is no fun. Hopefully the antibiotics will do the trick quickly.

Tosha, I love your baby belly exclamations! I can't imagine carrying two and having them both kicking. It must be amazing. Are you overwhelmed with all the stuff you need to get? Buying for one is keeping me a little anxious cost-wise, buying for two would probably put me under the table! Have you been getting hand-me-downs?

AFM, 23.5 weeks and just enjoying the second trimester. Our second trimester screening went great, she's measuring well. I never know what my blood pressure is or how I'm measuring belly wise, so just assuming it's ok. Glucose test and thyroid test both came back ok too, so that's good. I get kinda crampy and sometimes feel these weird pressure sensations in my lower abdomen area and the digestion is a mess as usual, but overall I feel great. Using this time to exercise everyday and now that it's (sorta) warming up here in LA I've been trying to swim more. Even though the funeral was sad it was nice being around a ton of family that just wanted to touch my belly and talk about how happy they are about the baby. I think things that some might find annoying (the belly rubbing, etc.) I love, it feels amazing to finally be pregnant and get this type of attention from people.

Let's see...I always have a question to throw out there. This week I think it's cars. We have a 2 door. Doable? Or do we need to scrounge up some $$ for a 4 door? Tell it to me straight ladies!

Oh, and Tosha, picture to come soon, just don't have an updated version of the belly. I haven't forgotten!

Emiline while hand me downs are nice, we have not recieved any. I may be on the crazy side, but I'm having a BLAST buying for these two! Hand me down sleepers and onesies would be great for me, but because of my twin requirement of they HAVE to dress alike, clothing probably won't be used if it's handed down ( one of my quirks...I've been even buying matching sleepers...though I won't "require" they dress alike for bed LOL) But we honestly have enough for them already. Every payday dh and I shop, and we get paid on opposite Fridays, so yeah it gets mighty fun. I love it...not overwhelmed at all!

You crack me up with your matching outfits Tosha! So great to hear you're having fun buying all that stuff, it makes pay day much more special. I bought a couple things on Craig's List (including an Oeuf Classic Crib and toddler bed conversion for super cheap--totally scored), and got an Ergo pretty cheap used too--both practically new. I'm on the search for a used Bugaboo Bee or Mammas and Paps Sola stroller on Craig's List. If I can't find one I might just splurge. It would be a gift to myself for all that infertility hell.

The rest hopefully will come via registry. Once my shower is over I'll reassess and see what I need--and shop!

So I am home today after being up all night with a nasty stomach bug. I'm keeping gatoraide down, so hopefully I'm on the mend. My wonderful hubby went out at 3am to get me the gatoraide. I took Patrick to daycare so I could stay home and rest.

Emiline -- I'm glad you had safe travels. Have fun on your next trip. It is definately easier to do it now than once your little one is here. Although traveling with them before they know how to crawl is pretty doable. Once they start crawling and wanting to explore, it becomes a whole new experience! At Christmas we'll be flying back to Chicago with Patrick who will be 2 1/2 and the baby who will be 3 1/2 months. I'm already starting to panic. lol You got some good scores off Craigslist! As for the car, tha is a tricky one. I think when they are in their infant seat and you are just snapping it into a base, it should be doable. My concern would be once they outgrow the infant seat and are in a convertible seat, but still need to be rear facing. I'm not sure how easy or possible it would be to get them in their seat and strapped in. Once they are fwd facing in their seat, then it would probably be doable again. I would go to Babies R Us as they let you take car seats out to your car, and give it a try.

Tosha - way too cute about matching outfits. I would be the same way!! Heck, I've already gotten a few matching or coordinating outfits for my boys and they will be 2 yrs apart in age! lol

Thanks for the suggestions, Dawn. I was mostly worried about the infant seat--snapping the graco into place in a 2 door. But if that works out ok then it buys us a little time until she needs the regular rear-facing seat. I was going to test a friend's infant graco seat in our VW to see if it fits, I didn't know you could just do this at Babies R Us. So good to know!

Maybe I'll get matching outfits for Izzy and her auntie Katy (my sister). That would be too hilarious, and Katy would love it.

I would just call BRU to confirm that your store does this, as ours does. The seat snaps into the base fairly easily, and it unsnaps at the top of it, which would be the easiest part to reach. Even though we don't get "bad" weather out here, it is so nice to be able to strap them in their seat and carry them out to the car, especially on rainy days. If you have a 2nd car, I highly reccomend spending the extra money to get a 2nd base. It is just easier than having to move the base. (or maybe I'm just lazy lol). Also, I'm not sure where in LA you are, but the store in Callabassas is huge and very nice. If I am looking for "bigger ticket" items, I always go there, even though I have a smaller BRU about 5 minutes from me. lol

I hit 24 weeks yesterday which means I have made it to viability. Hopefully I make it to my next milestone of 28 weeks. Then I will really breathe a sigh of relief.
