it's a...

Girl! We found out a couple days ago that we are having another girl. We are happy that it is a girl so hopefully they will grow up as friends. (My girls will be 20 months apart.)

Now we need to think of a name! We have been tossing a few names around, but nothing is set in stone yet.

Congratulations!!! That's so exciting! We have our u/s next Thursday and I am just so excited to find out the gender. I don't even care either way but I just HAVE to know!!! I just hope he/she cooperates!

Are you name choices a secret?

Name choices aren't secret, we just aren't sure. Right now we are thinking of Avery or perhaps Tristan, but Tristan seems to be more of a boy name now. We like Avery, but we are wondering how popular it is. So we are keeping our ears and eyes open to girl names that are out there.

Tristan is being used alot as a boys name now. In fact, I know 3 male Tristans, lol. As for Avery, that's beautiful and was actually on my list but dh didn't like it for some reason. He gets veto power but I get final choice, lol.

The Social Security Administration actually has a site that can give you the popularity of baby names. The latest data is from 2007 but it helped me to trim my list by quite alot. Here's the link.

http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/

I looked up Avery for you and it was ranked 48 but if you spell it Averie then it jumps clear up to 823.

Tristan is in the top 100 also.

I love that site!

Becky-I love that site. I was using it a few weeks ago when we were thinking of names. I am still thinking Avery (or Averie is cute). I can't seem to get any other names in my head. I am still looking around though!

Congrats on the girl! Best of luck picking a name!
We don't plan on finding out the gender of baby until born. Wish me luck in keeping sane while not knowing! lol

BTW, love the name Avery. I like Tristan, too. I have only heard it for boys but kinda like the idea for a girl.

Don't get me wrong. Even though we decided not to find out. I am fearful, that I will be driven nuts by wanting to know. Here's hoping I have a lot of self-discipline! lol
