Question Carseat Question?

We are driving down to Florida next weekend. We have Shane's carseat in the middle of the car. Well to make things easier I want to move it behind the passanger seat so that Michael has room to sleep and Rambo can go back and forth. Is it okay to have the carseat on the passanger side?

Kelly, we are moving J's there soon to help the a/c in the back. Besides, where do you think parents of twins or more than one baby have the carseats?? They have to have them on the side.

My girls, well two of them anyway, have always been not in the middle of the car. I think it shows your a good mommy to worry about this issue!

Carseat recommendations.

Hi! I am new to Fertile Thoughts. My girlfriend introduced me to it. I have one son born Sept. 25 2006. 9 Months today. We are in the market for a new rear facing carseat. Getting too big for the carrier. Do you have any recommendations?

I was finally able to find a fire department that was open and had our carseat moved. They didn't give us a paper saying it was totally safe, because it's not in the middle and it's on the passanger side so oh well. We'll just move it back after the trip, but at least someone put it in right! I love my dh, but UGH! Thanks ladies...now on to packing!

kdane,

We just purchased two Evenflo Triumphs...I have ONLY had Britax in the past, and I had set aside $600 to buy two more. My hubby is a consumer reports nut, so I always have to research the seat first. The Evenflo was rated just as highly as the Britax (actually better in the crash ratings). So, he pushed me to get the Evenflo.

The Evenflo is not as easy to figure out as the Britax. It took me a while to figure out the straps and get my daughter in just the right position. However, now I LOVE it! She is so comfy in it, and it's easy to adjust the tension and height of the straps.

Don't get me wrong, I still LOVE the Britax seats. It took me a few days to decide I like this one, but now I'm happy. I was able to purchase two Evenflo seats for less than the cost of one Britax. So, I bought some more "fun stuff" with some of my extra money!

Just wanted to let you know so you could have another option to explore!

Good Luck,
Kerry
