I have been wondering if anyone elses baby out there has nightmares? Shane has been waking up every now and then and crying. He's not really awake. Eyes are closed crys for a bit and sleeps. Is he having nightmares? I can't handle it if he's having nightmares. It's breaking my heart. What could he be dreaming about that could give him nightmares? Anyone go through this?

I would hope poor Shane isn't having nightmares.. Maybe he is just moving more and startling himself?

Cade does it every once in a while...DH and I joke that he must be dreaming of seeing mommy's booby but not being able to reach it! LOL
I think it's just reflex type stuff, or maybe somthing startles them and they start to wake but fall right back asleep. I have those "falling" dreams sometimes and I think that might be it also...Being in between sleep and awake and drifting in and out.

Michael does that. Sometimes he will a actually cry, like a blood wrenching cry for only 1 sec and then go back to sleep....I always think it's a nightmare or a dream.....

I was talking to my sis about this. She said that the babies probably just have a little gas pain that makes them cry but goes away. I do hope that J isnt having bad dreams so early.

I can't imagine what the poor guy feels like with a falling dream. I hate those things.

Barging...though technically I belong here
Irish-
My little guy does the same thing. Cries out. Makes me wonder if he's dreaming. The other night he was whimpering and crying so much I thought something was wrong so I looked it up in the baby book the ped gave us and all it said is that it is normal for babies to cry in their sleep, while falling to sleep, and when waking up.
I normally post in the October group since my original due date was Oct 25 and I went through my PG with those ladies. But my B/G twins arrived on Sept 27 so that's why I say technically I belong here. I do lurk on your board once in awhile but this is the first time I've posted.
