A recommended experienced S/R specialist in Florida ?

Hello girls,

I've been reading all your posts on this board and it makes me feel a little better to know I'm not in this boat alone. I am currently 5w4d and carrying triplets, no prev p/g, but due to my age and health, know I cannot carry three. I go back to my RE on 20th for a 7w u/s then again on 10w and if 3 still remain I will have to schedule S/R. My question is, is there anyone in the Tampa Bay or general Florida area that can recommend and experienced S/R. My searching the web has drawn a blank, and I dont just want to be pointed in the direction that my RE recommends, but want to have some comparisons to ensure I go to the most experienced in my area.

Also, does anyone have comparisons on pricing for this procedure?

I'm sorry if I sound cold or detached asking these questions, but its the only way I can think about getting through this next horrible 6 weeks or so.

Thanks.

Tina.

Hi Tina,
Congratulations on your pregnancy, and I am so sorry that you are in such a difficult position right now. I live in NY, but went through this last year and I can tell you that YOU WILL BE OK. I know it does not feel like it right now, but take the time to process your decision, talk it out with DH and just know that the right decisions will come to you and you need to follow that lead.

I got pretty involved in the Selective Reduction Group at the Yahoo boards, the women there were so wonderful and helpful (this is before I knew about FT, so I am not making any comparisons). Also, I remember there were a few women in Florida who were active in the group, so you might get some good references there.

RE: price. Interestingly enough, the Maternal Fetal Medicine center that I went to submitted some sort of code that ended up having my SR covered by insurance, although it was completely a family planning choice, and nothing to do with prenatal diagnosis. My guess was that the procedure was about $2500.

If you have questions or want to talk offline, feel free to PM me.
I wish you all the luck in the world, its such a terribly sad and confusing time, but you will come out the other side I promise!
Good luck, sweetie.
