Smile does anyone know what fertility clinic is the best in san diego?

Hi, i'm new to this site, i'm 37 years old and have been diagnosed with diminsihed ovarian reserve. I have a 7 year old son and my husband and me desperately want to have another baby. i am trying to find anyone out there who can tell me who would be the best fertility clinic to go to in san diego. I've been reading about:
1. Fertility clinic of san diego DR MORALES

2. San diego fertility clinic DR HUMMEL

3. RPSD DR GARZO

4. and DR SAM WOOD (i can't think of the name of his clinic offhand)

does anyone out there know which one of these doctors would be the best. I need IVF and the procedures can be so expensive, I'm afraid I don't have a lot of money to do mulitple tries so if I only have 1 or 2 tries, I want to at least make sure I"m going with the best doctor possible. Thank you so much, this means so much to me and my family.

I hope that you get some responses from some ladies in San Diego with 1st hand experience, soon. In the meantime, I want to mention SIRM Las Vegas or Los Angeles. I did a lot of research prior to selecting an RE and was drawn back to SIRM repeatedly because of all of the research they do and their methods. BTW: the founder is Gregory Sher and he is in Las Vegas. I'm going to SIRM Sacramento since that's where I live and my cycle is upcoming. SIRM is offering free consults by phone or in person. There is also a message board where you can ask questions even if you're not a patient.

As far as the cost, they do have a 2 cycle plan which I think is VERY affordable. You get 2 complete cycles and all the FET's reqd to use up all frozen embies for the price of less than 1 and 1/2 fresh cycles. GL!

Hi Chez,

Dr. Morales (who is very and nice) came highly recommended to us but all in all it ended up being a very negative experience. She said based on my age at the time (39) that I would not be a candidate for anything but a donor egg. Funny thing is by the time we finally got an appt. with her I was in the early stages of a natural pregnancy which I eventually miscarried several months later. Since I was already pregnant we agreed to pay a flat rate for US and BW which was paid for up front. A year later (on the date of my MC) we were slapped with a huge bill that they threatened to send into collections; Naturally, we were mortified and after we produced a copy of the original bill we decided that would be the end of our time with Dr. Morales.

We now are working with Dr. Sam Wood at the Reproductive Science Center and so far it's been a positive experience. Despite my age, he was willing to work with us and try different protocols which is a plus. I will say that they are extremely busy and sometimes I've been left waiting in an exam room for 30 + minutes but considering they have a dynamite embryologist (Dr. Adams) I consider it worth the wait. Dr. Adams is very skilled and informed and will answer any questions you may have about embryo quality, protocols and transfers. Good luck and take your time choosing the right Dr. as it really does make a difference in the success of your treatment.

thanks for your advice on the clinics. It is so hard to decide on who to go to. When you went with Dr. Sam Wood, were you able to use your own eggs or did you use donor eggs? That's the other big decision I'm trying to make, i just turned 38 and don't know if I should try with my own eggs or just decide on the donor egg because there is more of a chance of it working. it is such a hard decision. The procedures cost so much I'm afraid of not having enough money to be able to try again if the procedure doesn't work. thanks for your advice,
