it was a negative. I so knew it and I'm ok....I do think I am going to try to get one more cycle in before the end of the year. I didn't think I wanted to cycle during the holidays but since we have maxed out the insurance for the year I might as well get everything paid for instead of starting new bills for 2009. I came clean with the nurse and told her I upped my meds and she said I should do the same thing again cuz it was a perfect cycle. Now just wait for AF and go from there.....

    Hi Ladies,
I am out at my folks house and didn't think I'd be checking in, but DH had the laptop and you all were calling to me, so here I am! I just couldn't stay away and had to hear how you all were doing.

Sheila, I'm so sorry to hear about the BFN. Maybe this next time around will bring much better news. I'll be thinking +++ thoughts for you!

Baby -- exciting news about the house being listed. I've been there and feel your pain -- it's very difficult to try and keep the house looking like a model home with a little one at home who doesn't quite get it. Good luck with that! You'll have to keep us posted...

AFM -- went to the RE this AM for u/s and bloodwork. Not so good -- I had 4 follies on the left (13, 14, 14, and 15) and none to speak of on the right. Ugh. I had a feeling....haven't been feeling super bloated and huge like I usually do with the meds. Also, when I went to change vials from the one that should have been empty, there were still meds in it. WTH??? RE nurse said they overfill, but this looked like there was more in it than that. has this happened to anyone else?? I had started off with a 300 and a 600. I'm on follistim. Did 200 from the 300 vial the first night, then got the new meds and switched to the 600 vial. There was some left in the 300 but there should have been about 100 IU since I only used 200. I did one night of 200 and 4 nights of 100 -- then the 600 should have been empty, right? But there was as much left in there as there was in my 300 (that should have had 100 leftover...) so I was a little worried going in and the u/s confirmed that something went wrong....I know one night it was hard to push in and empty once I dialed it up -- not really sure what happened...but in any case I'm taking 100IU tonight and another 100 tomorrow night and go back in for u/s and bloodwork on Wednesday. Please share if you've experienced this weirdness. Very strange. I think tonight I"m going to mark with a sharpie just where the meds are in the vial so I can see if it is reallyworking. Crazy, I know, but I'm on a mission to get pg this cycle!! LOL The things we do...

Best of luck to the rest of you --
    Jenn

If you look at the vials (the packaging specifically)...the vials contain extra meds. So even though the math says it should be empty, there will still be some left.

Sheila..So sorry for the BFN. That totally sucks! I agree though you should sqeeze in one more "free" cycle. We have a high deductible plan and we are getting everything in that we can before the end of the year. Right now everything including our prescriptions are all "free."

    Jenn,
I found in the gonal-f it is pretty exact not much left over but in the follistim there was more left. I had to toss mine because I had extra and it expired.

AFM: I'm officially not cycling in December. I will start lupron somewhere early January. I just can't deal with it now and besides my son is very sick. It's been a day from hell and I still don't think I'm back yet. My son got sick about 10 days ago and we started antibiotic on Thursday for ear infection. It didn't handle it and now he has a double ear infection and pnemonia showed up on the chest x-ray today. Ped. switched antibiotics and the new antibiotic has to be in pill form and it tastes awful even in icecream so it was a battle to get the 1st dose in him. I called the dr. and back again tonight for antibiotic shots in both his legs which we have to do for 2 more nights and a different oral antibiotic that may or may not touch the pneumonia. The shots are for the ear infections and could also handle the pnemonia. If not, he has to go back on that yuky crap. I no longer get home and I've been driving around in a snow storm that is all slushy. Dh is with my older ds where he went from soccer to basketball and I'm trying to get Adam's new medicine ready when my male dog pukes right by the back door on my area rug. GRRRR. I'm tired of illness I'm still not 100% and I see no break in sight. So much for studying or working this week. It's been nonstop. No way I could even fathom cycling right now.
