Just wondering if anyone here has done IVF after having children on au natural? I am on stims now, have 3 children by prev husband, 2 of whome are autistic. Divorced, remarried to a man younger than me never been married and no bio children, never thought we would have this problem, we know from the get go he wanted a child, just one of his own.
We had one m/c and one ectopic, tried tubal reconstruction it failed and now here we are, I have PCOS and no tubes, tried IVF 2 months and got cancelled as my E2 levles bolted than plummeted.
Was just wondering if other women were succesful with the first IVF or if it took more than one when you have had children in the past?
I am also 38 next week so age is now playing a factor too i guess.
thansk in advance for any and all feedback.

I got pg with my son with no trouble almost 6 years ago, then could not get pg when I started again 3.5 years ago. After a year of ttc, we went to IUIs (2) and then IVF (2). None of these were successful, though I guess technically #2 worked (positive beta, but low, and then plummeted several days later). Several folks I know thought that each time being more successful than the last, I should go for #3 and it would work (this happened with several friends of mine). However, insurance only covered two tries, so we stopped.
We are thinking of moving to NJ, which has mandatory IF tx coverage, and if we do that, I will probably try again.
At each step, the REs thought not only would it work, but perhaps I would get pg in between tx -- didn't happen, unfortunately.
I hope your tx works well and you are pg soon. Good luck!

Hope-
I am in a similar situation as well. I have a 9 year old DS from my first marriage. I have since divorced and remarried a wonderful man who had never been married before. We all (DH, DS, and myself!) wanted another child. After trying for 5 months without success we knew that something was wrong and went directly to an RE. It turned out that we have MF. We tried IUI twice and then moved onto IVF with ICSI. I am now 6wk2d pg after my first IVF attempt.
Good luck to you!

I have PCOS too but didn't know what it was or why I was having AF's every 4-6 months back when ds1 was conceived. I was in my 4th month of no AF and was 5 wks pregnant and didn't even know it!
Fast forward 6 yrs, 3 uneducated gyn's that SAID they "specialize" in infertility (ha, ya right) and 1 fantastic RE. 1failed IUI-3 follies, 1 cancelled IUI-7 follies, and 1 IVF-5day transfer 2 embies= bfp twins!
Good luck to you!
