Second IUI success rates?

Does anyone know or have any information on success rates for IUI after you have already achieved a pregnancy through IUI? I read some statistics in a thread on another board but I was wondering if already having success with IUI if the rates are different. I'm starting again IUI next month but am nervous because my ob/gyn will only do 3 because of my "advanced age" (I'm 37 soon to be 38).

Thanks!

I am not really sure Lisa. But, I hope it is good. As that is what I am doing as well.

I have mild pcos and after we got our sperm issue cleared up, i got pregnant on my first, third and fifth diui at age 34(m/c twice d/t progesterone issue) and at 37 got pregnant on my second diui. I think more important than your age is your fsh. I believe mine was around 6 when I was 37. good luck.

Hi,

I think that just the fact that you had a successful pg helps your chances. For me, it took many IUI's but only 2 with inj/IUI (I was doing alot of clomid/IUI because that is what worked for #1)

Personally I think you should be able to do as many IUI's as you want particularly if you are paying for it!!

Good Luck

Not sure but I'm in the same boat. I just booked my IUI today. I'm 37.5.

It just KILLS me as I had two natural pgies after my successful IUI. I just wish my son hadn't died.

My FSH is 5; E2 34. So, my RE says my levels are good.
