My P&S is bulkier than most, but I've heard good things about the Elph (is that from Canon??).

From what I have been reading, it is difficult to get a fast shutter speed in a regular point and shoot. That is the main reason I am splurging for the DSLR.

I haven't touched it yet, but I bought a small Canon and had it shipped home since I was missing out on lots of pictures since I have Rebel with me. The pictures I've seen so far are good and Betsy is a fast little skeeter so the shutter speed must be pretty good Goodluck finding one.

my only suggestion is to NOT buy a camera that runs on AAbatteries. you will go thru them like water.

oh & it was small enough for my handbag. I never did get a case for it because it was pretty small. even though it doesn't look all that small in the pic..
