    Tracey and Tanya

i realized as i was driving home that i canNOT do the weekend of the 22nd. steve is home on the 8th and the 22nd. the 8th thus i must plan the party for the 22nd.

i know that i could include spence in the museum party, but my mom has her heart set on spence having a "real" party. and as you know, what mama wants, mama gets right now.

so now i'm open on 15th and the 29th.

sorry that i'm messing up the plans.

Tammy, you aren't messing up the plans. We don't HAVE any plans to mess up yet. We were just looking at the calendar, tossing around ideas and dates all WITHOUT benefit of our own calendars and schedules in front of us. That was understood. We will come up with dates that work for all of us, don't you worry!

My weekends in September are empty, completely. When DH wakes up today, I'll have him share his schedule, as well as any scout schedules he has, so we will know if there will be any conflicts from them.

I got the dates wrong for our Fall Break in October. The kids have 1/2 day of school on Friday, Oct. 5th, and then do not return to school until Monday, Oct. 15th. Again, at this point, all my weekends on the calendar in October are empty, completely. I don't know how this will work with your schedules for that weekend mountain getaway we discussed.

Oh, and it looks like the last day of school here is Wed, May 21. But, Memorial Day weekend is the 24-26th, so we might not find good rates for a beach house. But, I'm willing to look and see what we can come up with. If we find something, I still think we need to reserve it early, before it's gone.

i know. i just felt foolish b/c i was so emphatic about my plans. how long has my husband been on a week on/week off schedule? two years? you'd think i'd have it memorized by now. but you'd be wrong, apparently.

our fall festival is on a thursday in november. go figure.

school ends on may 23rd. boo.

I know I can do the 15th. I still need to talk with Michael about having Devin's party there. If that's good with him, then either weekend will be fine.

Do ya'll still want to try to do the mountain getaway in Oct. I'd love too even if it's just a Friday night to Sunday thing like this weekend was. I'll call and get dates that available. The boys are out on Oct 18th and 19th for fall break.

We get out of school on May 22nd.

yes, tracey. since it is close to you, it'd be like one of our regular weekends.

I agree, the Fall mountain getaway sounds fun.

I've got DH's schedule, and his schedule is fine for any weekend in Sept.

So, Tracey, if you are interested in a party at either place, you might look at the websites to see prices, and give them a call to see if there's any way to schedule a party next month. I have no idea, they may book up many months in advance or something? But, we can still go, and do cake and ice cream back here at the house. That's your call.

I've already contacted the Creative Discovery Museum to see what dates they have open (if any). The birthday party prices were reasonable, $175 ($140 for Museum members). That's for 40 guests (children and adults) and includes free Museum admission for children and adults on the day of the party. Did you say you had a membership there?

    The Aquarium prices were nuts......1 – 15 people: $260/Member; $300/Non-Member

We'll let Devin decide what he wants to do, but if it's the aquarium, then we'll do cake and ice cream back at your house.

Yes, I have memberships in both places. Do both places have openings for the weekends we are looking at?

I sent them an e-mail for available dates, but I haven't heard back yet. If I don't get a reply by tomorrow then I'll just call them.
