    Weekend Plans?

What are you doing this weekend?

DS has been in his first ever VBS this week. It was run so well. I wish they had it for a few more weeks.

Saturday we will be cleaning and sprucing up and Sunday we have our second "Open House". Wish us luck!

Bible school is over, but we have a pool & pizza party to wind it all up tomorrow night. Its been a long week! Tonight we're taking Logan to the tractor show at our county fair. Other than that, not much going on!

Not a whole lot of anything! YEAH! Finishing up a few projects around the house. I am taking my mom to a crop on Saturday evening so we can start working on her heritage albums she wants to do. The Vintage Grand Prix is also in town this weekend so we may go to that on Sunday morning.

Nancy, D loves VBS too! I signed him up at 2 different churches this year and he seemed to like going twice. I hope to do the same thing next year. Good luck with the Open House!

For us it's another jam packed weekend.

On Saturday we are going to see the King Tut exhibit at a museum in the city with my whole family in the afternoon. In the evening my MIL & FIL are babysitting while we pay a condolance call then have dinner and a movie.

On Sunday J has a swimming leson in the AM and we are meeting friends at the county club in the afternoon.

    Nan, good luck!

We don't have any plans especially. DH's sister is supposed to come over tomorrow afternoon to visit and meet Charlotte. She lives 10 minutes away and has yet to come by. She was supposed to come 4th of July afternoon and just never showed up. Turns out she had the date she didn't want to end so they spent the entire day together. I don't care but just call and say you're not coming. Instead we rearranged our schedule around her arrival just to sit and wait for nothing.

DH's worker friend is supposed to come help figure out the rest of the basement so we can get that finished. It needs to be done!

We're signed up for VBS at the end of July. I hope it's as good as last year. I was going to sign them up for a couple different ones but I have trouble going with unfamiliar places. The neat thing about our VBS this year is that they have a 2-4 age group so Mia can go, plus they have parenting classes. Not sure I'll stay for those but I'm excited the kids will have something fun to do!

We're packing up the van and getting ready to head east! Today we plan to get all the way to Missoula, MT. Then tomorrow it'll be off to see Cutster's Last Stand. On Sunday we'll be at Mt. Rushmore for a couple of days... Most of the places we're staying have wireless so I'll be checking in now and then

Good luck on the open house, Nancy!

Good luck with the Open House, Nank!!

We have VBS this week, too S&S actually missed out on doing VBS at our home church (they were visiting their Dad), but I was chatting with a friend that works in the same building as me, and her church was doing VBS this week. On Monday, the kiddos didn't seem too thrilled (new church, new people, etc), but it took no time for them to warm up to the idea. Even though I am very comfortable with the group there, I don't do a drop-off because S&S wanted me to stay. I'm actually helping them with the games and crafts, so it's fun for me, too. Tonight is the last night- it's been from 5:30 til 8pm so I'm tired and ready to be home for a weekday evening.

Today I had the fun task of buying new tires. Gee- it's nowhere near as much fun as buying SBing supplies. Wonder why??!!

    Tonight- the finale of VBS.

Tomorrow- Sleeping until at least 7 am and later going to the library with a friend. Then, we're going to their house to swim and have dinner together. Oh yeah- I told her I'd bring dessert- better do something about that!!

Sunday- Church and just hanging out- I think

Nank... still waiting on kitchen pictures.

I am throwing DH's 38th birthday party this weekend. Our friend A is coming from New Orleans, my friend J and her man (this will be our first time meeting him) are coming from Dallas. Phil's college roommate, his wife and twins are coming. Plus a bunch of local friends. I'm expecting 27 people- should be quite the party! Lots of cleaning and preping to do.

Sunday I think we are going to head to S-port to shop after everyone leaves. I bought a comforter for our bed at Bed, Bath, and Beyond last weekend while at my parent's house that I do NOT like at all. Not sure what I was thinking! Need to return that!

Hanging around home tonight....DS has been at camp all week so he'll need some down time. Tomorrow my sis and I are off to IKEA in Detroit and then Lake Michigan on Sunday. DD is going to same camp next week, but she'll be 1/2 days.
    Peace,
