My intro... not same-gender, just same-sex!

Hello all! My name is Kate and I am a 25 year old woman who is unable to carry a pregnancy to term. Pregnancy problems are nothing new in my family - so when I was told that the chance was next to nothing that I would have anything but miscarriages I was not surprised, just heartbroken.

My partner is a 34 year old transgender individual (female-to-male a.k.a. transman). We want children so he was going to go off of his weekly intramuscular testosterone injections to "pull a Thomas Beatie" (Google him, he's a transman who had 3 babies for his wife), however our doctor is afraid of how my partner's history of testosterone use, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol may affect the pregnancy. Actually, our doctor thinks that these factors would put Reece at a high probability for a miscarriage.

Long story short... I will be going to get a sonogram soon. If possible surgery will happen to remove the cysts and then hopefully I will be able to carry to term.

I am just here to try to find some sort of support. My family would be excited but I don't want to tell them, I'd rather they found out after (if!) I get pregnant and am at least 6 months. I don't want them to get all excited early in a pregnancy only for me to miscarry again. We've also only told two of our friends, we just aren't sure how the others would react. I know that there were enough issues when we discussed my partner transitioning from ftm!

(P.S.- are there any other partners of trans ppl on here?)
