I'll start by introducing myself. I'm Didi. I have a 19 month old son, Benjamin Julian, who I am raising with my partner. We live in California. I am a teacher and my partner is a social worker.

I first arrived at FT after trying many IUIs, IVFs. surgeries etc. I was about to move on to adoption, when someone on FT informed about donor embryos as an option. I mentioned it to my RE and about a year later, I was expecting Ben! I owe a lot to FT and the boards here...I don't think I'd have Ben without this place! I'd love to see this particular board used more....so now I am a moderator and happy to help others.

I'd love to learn a bit about the rest of you!

I'm really hoping that we get this board moving again as it was a great support when I was waiting for Mia (seems like ages ago!) I came to FT during my long wait to adopt Mia who has now been home with us for 3 1/2 years. We are getting ready to celebrate her 5th birthday next month, and looking forward to returning to home to Boston in July of this year after 3 years in Australia.

I have posted here for almost 4 years but it has really slacked off over the past few years. I agree this board was a fantastic support in the past.

My DD is three now and we are starting a second time for #2. I tried unsuccessfully for 15 months and we decided to turn over the task to DP. We just did our first IUI with DP today so on to the 2ww

I have been on FT from back in aug when we found out we got a BFP. I never noticed this forum which i find really neat. We just had our little girl BrookeLyn Marie 4/24/05 she will be 3 weeks tomorrow. My DP and i have been togeather 3 almost 4 years. I am the bio mommy and she is her mama. We live in southern Cali.

It's great to find a same-gender board here!! I'm Kaz and my partner is Jules and we're from Queensland, Australia. We've only just started on our journey to parenthood and had our first IUI last month. Unfortunately we weren't successful We booked in for our next cycle next month so fingers crossed we have better luck soon. We are two guys from Sydney, Australia going through surrogacy process in Canada. We were wondering if there is anyone who could recommend a lawyer in Canada (preferably in Toronto, but could be anywhere) who can draft a surrogate contract.

I don't know of any inCanada but I do know 2 here in Massachuttes, I believe as long as you have a legal contract drawn through an attorney it is recognized anywhere..
