May Spring Flowers........All Welcome! Primary Infertility Monthly Thread

Good Morning all!

So here we all are, at various TTC stages and thought we could start getting to know each other better since there are lots of new faces lately.

I'm Kelcey. 32, firefighter/paramedic and a nurse. TTC #1 for a long stinking time....since 1994 when I got married to my ex husband. We did years and years of treatments, countless clomid, injectibles, IUI's, and had just gotten done with all of our IVF testing when he decided to leave. We were married for 14 years, 2 months and 1 day when it was all said and done.

In a new relationship and the TTC has resumed. Had two bfp's last year that ended in m/c. One was a clomid cycle and one was a bfs (big fat surprise).

I am currently CD 13 on a 100mg CD3-7 clomid cycle and I usually O on CD 16 with a 31 day cycle. Post O, I take 400mg of progesterone twice daily for a suspected deficiency. Prior to O, I've been on 81mg baby aspirin twice daily, 25mg spironolactone twice daily, and 400mg Vitex twice daily. The vitex and spironolactone are for hormone stabilization as I have Obstructive Hypopnea, meaning I breathe too shallowly at night which causes me to deoxygenate and throws me into a constant sympathetic nervous system response (increased steroid production, elevated glucose, etc)

Well, that's kind of me in a nutshell.....other than my TTC, I sing when I can (P.S. Val, I just won 350 dollars and a recording CD at a competition, so when I get it recorded, I'll send you one), I love camping, fishing and hunting and live a pretty active life here in Whitefish, Montana. I'm looking forward to getting to get to know all of you!

Kelcey

Good idea Kelcey

I'm Tiffany; 27 feeling like I'm going on 40 sometimes. I work in the IT dept of a transportation broker so half the time I'm crazy busy and the other half I'm bored silly at my job. TTC #1 since October 2006, after waiting 2 years till we were both ready. DH and I have been together 8.5 years; our 5 yr wedding anniversary is this month. We have a 7.5 year old furbaby, a weimaraner named Wilson who will be very, very jealous should we succeed in getting PG.

I'm currently on Arimidex, BCP, Metformin, & Doxycycline. After three failed IUI's I'm preparing for my first IVF cycle. I start Estrace on 5/28 followed by a slew of other meds including Lupron, Bravelle, Follistim, Dexamthasone, Baby Aspirin, and probably Menopur. Egg aspiration & transfer will be the week of 6/22. I am really hoping the IVF cycle works, though I will admit I am really scared about the 25% chance of twins...I think DH would freak. I think he's already freaking a little bit.

Other then TTC, I read...A LOT. Use to be just romance books but after Twilight I slipped into the realm of paranormal and supernatural fiction. I also like to ride w/ DH on his motorcycle, do home projects, and visit family. When I'm bored, I waste time on Facebook; where you're welcome to look me up. That should give everyone a decent idea about me - I look forward to hearing more about you other ladies

ok, so seriously ladies.....23 views and only 1 reply?

Tiffany, I'm huge into books too...when I have the chance to read. I like a lot of the same stuff you do.

Our weather here is sooo cruddy right now! It poured rain all night and now its raining cats and dogs! Ugh! I don't mind the rain, but I HATE being rained on. Makes my skin crawl.

So I very weirdly got a + OPK yesterday, but I know its not accurate because cervix is still low, firm and closed, but CM is starting to get pretty wet, so O is on its way. We still DTD anyways (no excuse needed for that! LOL) and I just hate having to continue to waste days doing those stinking OPK's!

ok, well off to work....yesterday was a big cluster after lunch, so I'll have lots of catching up to do. The girls up front scheduled the afternoon really weirdly with a vasectomy (we do them in office), a PAP and routine health screening, and a 2 week well child exam, on top of two cosmetic procedures. Ugh! Hopefully today will be scheduled a little better.

Have a good day all! Kelcey

I suppose I'll come out of my usual "lurking" mode for this :P

I'm Valerie age 26 going on 35 some days.... I'm married to my wonderful DH Mike for 6.5 years now. We've been TTC most of our married life, sought out treatment with an RE last year...went through testing and started monitored Clomid cycles...only to learn that our insurance pays nothing. All the problems found are with me I have mild-mod endometriosis, hypothalamic ammenorrhea (that problem seems to be not a problem anymore), and I don't always ovulate on my own. The only other thing the RE could really find was that I have thicker CM and apparently "the boys" get too tired before crossing the finish line... so if TTC naturally doesn't work it'll be onto IUI's with us. Right now we're preparing our bank account for more invasive treatment while trying on our own.

I'm a very busy person... I attend school full time at Columbus State getting my degree in Health Information Management. If I don't botch anything up and stay on schedule I'll graduate April 2010, so now less than a year to go!!! In addition to this I also work on a PRN basis for an agency that cares for MRDD clients. When I have time I enjoy shopping, swimming, random drives to nowhere, making jewelry, and loving on my 2 cats.

Currently in my cycle I'm day 21.... I started using the ClearPlan Fertility Monitor and the crazy thing has told me I've been at "high" fertility since CD 9.... I'm beginning to think something isn't quite right or this is going to end up being an anovulatory cycle. Anyone else use this crazy device and have insight????

I do also have a ******* and a facebook (facebook has no pics yet because I'm a slacker). Maybe we should start a list so we know how to find each other???

Valerie...I haven't used the monitor before, but I totally hear you on the frustration part. I've been using those stupid OPK's with my clomid this month and have been getting some weird results myself. I had a + on CD13, but I know that's too early for me, plus my cervix was closed tight, firm, low, which is definitely not what it should be. I did notice that it is starting to open, but its still pretty firm, although its moved higher. UGH! And my ovaries have still been sore either way! So, we'll just keep DTD and call it good...LOL

ok, well off to work for me....sure to be another looonnnngggg day!

Pregnancy mentioned...of course not mine

Hi better put myself out there as well !

My name is Debbie and I'm 40, have been with my husband for 16 years, married 11 years and have been TTC for way too many years. At the moment I am totally p*ssy with TTC. I just never figured that I would be 40 and childless.

We have 1 dog that we took in while my sis was building her house some 8 years ago (JD kinda stayed a while as DH was attached to her). I work full time in the Plastering industry as a ...don't really know my title, I do sales, estimating, contract delegating, payroll, account and most other things !

We are just about to sign the contracts on a new house that we are building..it's been slow getting to the contracts as we blew $25 000 out of budget and had to make a few cuts. Getting our current house ready to go on the market is taking up way too much of our spare time. We have had a lot of movement due to the drought and this has caused a truck load of damage. We will be completely honest about this with any potential buyers.

Presently my treatment is Chinese medicine (that tastes revolting) and BMS, if my husband and I get our schedules to run together. The last 2 ovulations we have basically missed the perfect window due to him being on night shift...may have to sneak over and meet him in the bushes if we conflict again this cycle In the last 12 months I have been in TTC hell, we did 4 IVF's and 1 FET all BFN. I'm really hoping to get pregnant naturally but if not it will be IVF again in the next 2 months or so.

I have recently learnt and this has been a bombshell that my cousins 14 yo daughter is 5 months pregnant and get this my cousin doesn't know why I am not happy for her daughter. I have been trying to come to terms with how a 14 yo kid that is a promiscuous sl*t can be a mum but a 40 yo woman in a loving, happy marriage can't be. I have stayed away from FT trying not to think of what I don't have and hoping that I could move forward by focusing on other stuff but it's not working.

OK that's my story.

Hello*!!! what a wonderful idea*!!! Let me see.... I am 31 (32 in June) and I am married to Ken and he is 33. We have been married for 2 1/2 years (Oct 7th 2006). I actually started TTC when I was 19 married to my EX. We did get pg 4 times (2 ectopics...1 needed surgery and 1 cleared on it's own...and 2 m/c...1 needed surgery and again 1 cleared on it's own). Ken and I have not had any confirmed pg's yet.... Currently we are working with a GYN...and doing Femara/robitussin/Met/BMS and prometrium. I am cd=8. Let the fun begin*!!!

We had 2 kitties....and in the process of moving in with my Mom and Step Father...it will help us save up for a house and help her with bills she got mixed up in.

Hobbies...well WE LOVE Nascar*!!! Huge fans*!!!! We also love to watch football (yeah Lions....hahaha), baseball....(Tigers) and hockey (Red Wings). I do enjoy reading and right now I am on Beverly Lewis...

Lately it has been hard to get on the computer and adjusting to living with another couple.....

MT~~woohoo great news on the CD*!!!! I can't wait to hear it*!!! I am a week(ish) behind you....yehaw*!!!!

tdg~~I sure hope that all is going well for your prep for IVF*!!! The thought of twins can be a bit scarey....but don't get too worked up about that*!!!

rayne~~Sorry I have never used the monitor, buit it seems that lately I have heard the issues with high "peek" days going on for several days to a week... Sorry I wish I had more info*!!!!

Little~~ohhhhhh sweetie*!!!!! {{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}} I surely understand why youi cannopt be happy for this girl....that is what she is...a girl....uuuggghhhhh I am angry with you HUN*!!!!

QVal...ugh to moving! we just did it in March and it just plain sucked! I'm glad you guys are going to get to save money though. That will be awesome!

Deb...Yay on your house coming right along. I hope that you and DH can get settled into the same schedule for at least ONE month of TTC. Can he take a night off? call in naked? he he

Rayne...I'm glad that school is going good for you...I've been contemplating going back...ugh. School is easy for me, but just really takes it out of me at times! I'm always glad to finish a degree and I swear I'll never go back, but I always do.

AFM...O FINALLY showed up on CD 15 and in a big way..I was kind of miserable, but it's all starting to settle down now. I start my awful prometrium tomorrow and I'm not looking forward to it because my AM dose always makes me feel super crappy. I'm not holding my breath on this cycle, but I really don't on any cycle anymore. Good thing too, because I'd be awful blue by now...LOL

Ok, well back to fun fun dishwashing and housecleaning...woohooo

This quarter is definitely kickin my booty.... I'm doing healthcare statistics and ICD-9-CM coding, on top of Comparative Settings and Legal Aspects of health information. Right now I'm struggling most with coding...it is all online so I really don't have access to or guidance in how to use the actual coding book. I really think they need to offer that in a classroom setting.

I'm still at "high" according to the monitor and I'm now I believe day 23, ah well we keep having plenty of BMS just so our bases are covered.... Dh is not complaining one bit!!

I'll jump in as well.I'm Tina and I'm 34 ,married to Jene for 8 years and he is 38.I have known since a young age that I couldn't conceive but didn't know why until 2005 when I was diagnosed with PCOS and type 2 diabetes.April 29,2008 I had RNY (gastric bypass) surgery and have lost 105 lbs and no longer have type 2 diabetes and my pcos symptoms are way better.I am currently on my 3rd clomid cycle ,monday I have a cd 13 scan to check for follies.I usually have 3-4 each month, last month my largest was 26mm.My hubby has had 2 SA done and is on the low side.1st one was 12.87 and 2nd was 28 mill. SO we may move on to IUI soon.
I am a homemaker and Hubby is a maintence mechanic in a poultry plant. We have 3 furrbabies Kaos a 2 yr old female boxer, Tigger and sassy our 7 yr old tabby cats.
We are just beginning the treatments so we will see what happens and we are praying for our miracle.
