Hi, my name is Tina. I am new to the site but not to TTC. I came here because my other TTC group has gotten smaller (forum issues cause us to go private) I am glad my fellow TTC'ers have moved on, but I feel like I need just a little bit more. I have been TTC since November 2005 with one year off due to deployment. Dh and I are both 25. I am horrible about asking questions with my doctor.
I am dealing with PCOS, and currently taking Clomid. DH checks out fine except low volume (good numbers still) after a post-coital test my doctor found zero sperm in the mucas. Has anyone experience this? It is so odd. After that result my RE wants to do an IUI. I hope to do an IUI next week.
Also, I am really hating taking my Clomid. The enlarge breast freakin' annoying. But I also think my mood swings are getting out of control. And I am not sure but I have been having the wierdest headaches with blurry vision. I am not sure if that is stress and the massive amounts of reading I do for school or the pills. Anyone else in a love/hate relationship with Clomid? Love that it makes me ovulate, but I can live without the side effects.

First off, welcome. I hope that your stay on the Primary IF board is short and that you "graduate" onto the Pregnancy Boards.
I have no real experience with the post-coital, so I can't really offer much advice there, but I've spent many years on clomid and I too have a love/hate relationship with it. It does work, but it sure makes me cranky...LOL
When you say that you are horrible about asking questions of your dr...why? Is it because you forget? or because you are intimidated? Just curious.
Again welcome...You'll find some pretty neat ladies here and I hope that we can provide you with a great deal of support in this trying time in your life.

Hi! Not my usual board, but your question regarding your post coital got me wondering -- Do they check your CM to see if it's the appropriate pH?
Some people due to diet and/or stress are more acidic than others which can cause a variety of health issues..

Very strange result on the PCT.... mine wasn't like that. Of course based on hubby's test results and my response to Clomid the RE calls us "dedicated overachievers". Our results on the PCT showed that my CM was too thick and "the boys" were getting tired out trying to get through, we attempted thinning out CM with massive amounts of Mucinex which improved things some but didn't quite produce the change our RE was hoping for. Currently "on our own" again until we get the money banked to go straight to our remaining 2 rounds of Clomid w/ an IUI, beyond that I think we're off to I believe Gonal-F.
I do have a love/hate relationship with Clomid.... bad headaches, and hot flashes mainly. The headaches are to the point that it's difficult to focus on things and I have trouble reading....which sucks since I'm a full time student....
Hope you get the answers you're lookin for.......

Hello*!!! welcome to the Primary Area*!!!! I also hope that your stay here is very short and sweet*!!!
I have not had a PCT in many many year (with EX....) at that time the test showed that everything was looking good.
I have done many rounds of clomid as well with my EX....it honestly made me bonkers and ohhhh not good for TTC aspects. LOL I am now on Femera and I have to say I like it so much better. (this is round 3...but been almost 2 years since I have done the first 2 rounds....took time off for money issues). Femera is similar to clomid, but the side effects are slim to nothing.Valerie (34)
