Symptoms of POF? Autoimmune?

I am currently getting tested for cortisol levels to check to see why my adrenals are hurting. However, I think it could be autoimmune. Anyone out there have any symptoms of autoimmune diseases or of POF? Does POF occur without one knowing about it.

Any information will help greatly,

Shino

With POF, this can occur without knowing, however, if you missed a couple of cycles be sure to get your FSH and LH levels checked. Also, if you do have POF be sure to take your vitamins..mostly calcium and vitamin D.. because with POF you are more likely to have bone loss. I am not sure about the adrenal glands hurting. Hope this helps a little. Best of luck

POF is basically menopause so if you are having any menopausal symptoms...i.e. hot flashes, missed cycles, mood swings, vag dryness, etc. it could be POF. I was diagnosed with POF at age 22 after a couple of bouts with childhood cancer treated with chemo, radaition and bone marrow transplantation. Definatley make sure you're exercising and taking calcium and vitamin D.
