Cool Overweight, Diabetic, PCOS and Pregnant

    Hey Ladies......

    Intro..........

I've been diabetic for about 11 years. Was using Insulin for about 5 years before a new doctor suggested i might be type2 rather than type1. Started to gain weight gradually and thought nothing of it till we were TTC.
Me and DH had been TTC for about 4 years when we had our first miracle. I had PCOS and only had 2 periods in the 4 years we were TTC.
I weighed 220lbs and don't know what i weighed when i had DS, he was born 35wk+6, weighed 7lb 8oz almost natural birth with diamorphine for pain relief.
Doctor suggested using a newish drug for my diabetes, Byetta with metformin (which i was already using as im also Insulin Intolerant). With that i managed to loose 50lbs.
Missed taking CP in April and waited for a period before taking new packet and conceived accidently even though we were using protection...miracle #2 EDD is 5/24/11.

I'd like to hear from any ladies here in more or less same situation

Sorry for the so called long intro!!!

It sounds like you've had good luck with natural conceptions, besides the waiting and patience involved. I'm wondering if you had any complications during the pregnancy? I am overweight and have PCOS, I just got my first BFP on the HPT, so am cautiously optimistic.

Congrats!!! Candace, we should keep checking in with each other! So far my only issue atm is my blood pressure (another pre-existing problem - I feel like the most unhealthiest preggo woman in the world) but the doc has upped my pills and it has gone down well. When do you go for your beta?

    Hiya ladies,

Sorry ive not checkd in. Last time i posted was around christmas so i didnt think anyone would reply to my thread!!!

Anyways, congrat to you's both queenlavera and Candace717 all the best in the coming months.

I had an easy pregnancy, no problems apart from the constant morning sickness but i had that even before i was preggers....metformin related. My blood sugars were average...below 7%. Blood pressure was average again, so relatively easy.

EDD was 5/24/11 but DS decided he wanted out early too, 4/18/11 34wks+6!!! We named him Nathan, meaning gift from God, as he was my 2nd miracle.

I promise to come back and check on you's!!! xxx

Hi, just giving an update if Venessa or Candace checks in, had my little boy on 12/9, via emergency csec due to his heart rate dropping, I was induced because of pre-e. But we both made it through healthy and happy his name is Joshua and it has been such a blessing to be his mom. Candace I hope everything went well with you and Venessa I hope little Nathan is doing great!
