New on here

I am overweight 5'2 and 270. My husband and I have had 2 miscarriages. When we had the second one the dr told me it was because of my weight. We quit talking about having kids for awhile after second miscarriage but know because i will be 35 in march we decide we should try again. I have tried every diet under the sun but you know how it goes good at first but cant stick to it. He has never had a problem so he doesnt know what it is like. My best friends just say what do you want more but its not easy. I am very afraid of it happening a third time. The dr put me on xenical but i have not seen any loss yet! I go for some blood work next week to see if they is any problems. I feel really guilty because I cant give hime what he really wants in this world. I was wondering if anyone else has gone though this??

to you! I am 5-1 and I weight 280 I have been big all my pregnancies. I could not get pregnant and it was due to not ovulating with the 1st 2. The first couple of Drs. I went to would not even do anything they just said lose weight. I finally found a great dr. who said if I tell you let's wait until you lose weight it might never happen and he referred me to a IVF clinic.
FIND ANOTHER DR. Women much bigger than you and me are having happy healthy pregnancies. For a dr. to say it is cause of your weight he has to have a more valid reason if you ask me. Bigger people have babies!
I am so sorry for your losses and I wish you luck in your next pregnancy.

Have you ever tried weight watchers? I am telling you I go on weight watchers lose 10 lbs and end up pregnant. My. Dr. said losing that little bit of weight might have kick started my system and got me ovulating again who knows but I got pregnant 2 times on WW right after joining. Your friends saying what you want more hurts I am sure. It isn't like we are keeping on the weight because we want to that is what bothers me about people who have not walked in a overweight persons shoes. Do you think I want to be fat? ughhhhh
I would suggest WW and stop the Zenical. Does Zenical need you to wait before you get pregnant like a couple of months or something? I would stop taking it if you do have to wait to get pregnant. Go to WW start walking. I never thought I would like walking I hated to sweat and have gotten up to 3 miles a day I love walking and I love sweating I tell myself that is just a further sign I am working out and losing weight.

Good Luck to you and remember to stay positive!
Michelle
