    Ultrasound at 4 weeks?

I am strongly feeling that I have twins. I did have an ultrasound at about 4.5 weeks it was pretty long and they knew they were looking for twins. They weren't even sure that they saw one at that point but saw something that looked like one, but said only one.

My beta numbers are extremely high, I have a history of twins and triplets, family history of multiples on my mom's side, I am already starting to show, my symptoms are intense, and I just am starting to have that feeling.

If the ultrasound tech was looking hard do you think they definately would have seen a second sac at 4.5 weeks? Could they have missed it? At this point the tech wasn't even sure they saw anything and if they did it was messuring only 4mm. I go back on saturday for another ultrasound but can't help obsessing.

I was hoping for a singleton and DH was hoping for twins but the last few days I was pretty sure it is twins.

I think they for sure could've missed a 2nd sac at 4 weeks. I've heard of 2nd sacs not showing up til 7 weeks. There's no concrete solution for you yet as far as I can tell from the experience of other women on here!

Everyone is different, but I do think there is a chance they missed it. Let us know what you see Saturday!

4.5 weeks is really early to draw any definite conclusions about how many. I hope that you will know a little more after your next u/s. Good luck!

Just wanted to say that at this point you are experiencing early pregnancy bloating and that you are not really showing yet. That won't come until later. Good luck!

Ohh its showing. I know bloating but this is baby 5. My breasts have already gone up a cup size, and my belly has changed so much I am already up 2 sizes, although my face, arms, legs, and hips I have lost weight! I am down 5 lbs and up in clothing. Its like my body just knew I was pregnant and decided to pop out. There is no one that looks at me that doesn't realize I am pregnant its not a little change its a very dramatic change.

Wishing- I had an ultrasound at 5w3d with this pregnancy and all they saw was an empty gestational sac. At 6w3d there was one sac with 2 fetal poles ...currently 26w4d with my ID girls!
