Hi ladies,
Not sure where to post this, so you'll see this on a few boards.
I am currently 31 weeks and 3 days with twins. I had my growth scan and cervical check yesterday and the babies are 4lbs 2oz and 4 lbs 3oz. My cervix measured 2.4 yesterday and they did a fetal fibronectin test to see if anything was present in my cervix.
Turns out, it was positive. I went to L&D last night to get a steroids shot to mature the babies lungs should they decide to come within the next two weeks.
My doctors told me that the negative of this test is more reliable than the positive. The positive just means that I will deliver early, they just don't know when.
They did not put me on bed rest but have me resting more and staying off my feet as much as possible.
Has anyone had a positive FFn test and if so, what was your protocol and how soon after did you deliver?
Thanks so much!

Positive ffn just means it is POSSIBLE for you to go into pre-term labor within the next few weeks. I'm sure they will be watching you closely, and if you feel anything funny I wouldn't hesitate to call them.
Best wishes!!!!

Thanks for your reply StephLynn.
I am now 34 weeks and 4 days, so I made it 3 more weeks after the positive test
My doctor said that the positive is only a possibility, so we'll see what happens. At this point, if I were to go into labor, they wouldn't try to stop it.
Thanks again
