New here and soooo uncomfortable!
Hi my name is Beth, I'm new here, 23 weeks pregnant with boy/girl twins. Even though I am only 23 weeks I am already feeling so uncomfortable and bloated and huge. And I know it will only get worse! This pregnancy is so different from my singleton daughter. I hate to complain as it took us years to get pregnant again and I swore and I would never complain about pregnancy aches and pains if it happened, but I can't help it.
Does anyone else feel this way this early? I look like I'm about 7 months pregnant now but I'm only 5 months! I am a little overweight anyway, which probably doesn't help matters. Beth

I started with swelling and achiness around 20 weeks and it has just gotten worse. I too am very happy to be pg and can't wait to meet my babies, but now at 27 weeks I am busting out of my clothes, I have pelvic and lower back pain, arthritis-like joint pain in my fingers, and off-and -on bad swelling in my feet...oh and constipation with hemmorhoids (however you spell that awful word!). I thought I would never complain either, but it's hard not to when you start feeling uncomfortable so much of the time. I am very fortunate and I keep reminding myself of this, that these are NORMAL pregnancy complaints and not something more serious. Helps keep me in check on the complaining. Thankfully I love to feel the babies move and it makes it feel more like an honor than a chore to gestate them. |

I'm only 12wks, but this is my second set of twins. I remember posting a very similar post when I was right around that time frame with my first set. It's normal to feel that way. I have an older son, a singleton, also. It is very different from a single pregnancy and everything happens earlier. It's hard but as you know, it will be worth it in the end. Twins are such a blessing, so much more than anyone can imagine.
Also, my kids are all IVF-ICSI/FET. I've come to realize that no matter how hard it is to get pregnant, it doesn't mean you don't have the right to be uncomfortable or express your feelings. Just because it's something you wanted and pushed for doesn't mean it's always sunshine and roses. You are pregnant with twins. It's awesome and wonderful and stressful and uncomfortable all at the same time. You are human and it's okay to express your feelings. It doesn't mean you want your babies any less. Do not let yourself feel guilty for that.
