27 weeks B/B twins, contractions and kidney stones

Well I am 27 weeks with twin boys and totally sick of Dr's!!! Went to LD yesterday because I was having painful contractions. My regular Dr is in Peru so needless to say I had to deal with the on call Dr. When I got there I had blood in my urine and was having contractions about every 2 minutes. When they called the on call he told them to give me steriod shots and a shot to stop the contractions. The first shot to stop the contractions slowed them for a while and them they came back. Then they gave me another shot. This one stopped them for about 10 minutes and then they came back a but not as close together. Since it was a sunday the on call didn't want to deal with it and they sent me home. About and hour later I went to the bathrooms and my urine was very bloody. I called the oncall and he told me it is probably a Kidney Stone and I need to go to the ER ( which I didn't do). An hour after that I passed a pea sized kidney stone. I thought I was going to die!! Why are the on call dr's such assholes!! All last night I was urinating blood and had massive pain on the one side. If I get out of bed now it is very painful, but so far no visable blood. Is there annything they do to treat these or is it just pain meds?? I have been having contractions again today bout every 5 minutes.

lblake - I wish I had some advice! Have you tried searching the web for natural remedies? Is the on call doctor covering for your doctor the whole time or is there another doctor you could request? I hope everything works out! Take care of yourself!

My sister had kidneys stones a few years ago. I don't think she was on anything except pain meds.
