Does anyone have it? Your reviews?

Thanks

We just bought it this weekend. This was the only baby item that I really wanted and would not compromise on. We went to Babies R Us to play with it in the store before buying it bc we had read the reviews and it seems the only complaints were its a little heavy. But personally I want one that will last till we are out of the stroller phase. My only complaint is there is only one carseat adaptor with the one we bought, but you can order the second one from the factory for like $30. I think that we will really like it and can't wait for the boys to get here to use it.

Thank you for your reply

Have you tested it out yet? I know your twins are still "cooking" , I am curious if you tried it in your vehicle.

I am just curious what kind of vehicles you have. Do you have to fold it to fit in the back of your vehicle (if it is a mini van, van or SUV) or can you keep it open in the back?

Thanks again

I haven't tested it out in the car, but we did play with it in the store. Took it a part, put it together and even barrowed carseats from the carseat isle to see how they go on. I have a Dodge Durango so it will have to fold up in order for it to fit, but it was really easy to fold and unfold it.

I don't have the Coutours stroller but have used a friends. Personally I wouldn't purchase it. It's cute and it's fun that it configures in different ways but it is very heavy. I pushed it on some walks in the neighborhood and any uphill parts were difficult. Not just because of the wieght, but also because it is so long that the steering becomes difficult.

The other thing I noticed about the contours is that the seats are pretty small. By the time my dd was one year old she was already too tall for the seats. Not that a kid can't sit in the seats longer than that, but it wasn't made for bigger kids. Granted my daughter is very tall for her age, but I still thought that at one year old she should fit better. It would have been very uncomfortable for her to have the canopy down.

I have spent a TON of time looking at strollers. Mostly because I also have a 22 mo. old. I debated about a triple for awhile but have decided on the double. The stroller that I have found and like a lot is the Graco Quattro Duo. It is much lighter than the countours and steers very nicely. It also only comes with one infant bar but a second can be ordered. I don't plan on using the car seat adapters anyway so I won't be purchasing the second.

I guess what I have found most important is to really consider how you will be using the stroller. I pretty much plan on using the Graco at the mall or other "tight" space type of places. My older dd will have to ride with one of the babies and I will wear the other baby in a carrier. I am purchasing a second stroller (triple jogger) for the neighborhood or any other open place so that I can still put all of the kids in the stroller and get around by myself. This is pretty much the same thing I did with dd. I mostly ended up using a lightweight umbrella in stores and my jogger everywhere else. I'm sure eventually...when older dd no longer needs to ride that I will probably purchase a lightweight double umbrella for the babies. We'll see....

I guess there really is no perfect all around stroller. Not for me at least. Good luck!

I agree with all of this! With my DS, we used umbrella strollers lots b/c of their light-weight and easy to transport and then our "bigger" stroller for bigger trips.
What I am doing, is getting a snap and go for the car seats in the beginning and then a lighter weight double for when they sit up better, and later a double umbrella. My DS is 2 1/2 now and I will either ride him and carry the other twin....he's getting to a point where he does not like to be wheeled around anyway. Things change though, so one thing is don't feel you have to get all of what you need now.
