Just found out its twins...need OB/hosp rec in Sac, CA

Hi ladies - We just found out today that we are likely having twins via IVF. It just so happens that we are also moving next week to Sacramento, CA, so if anyone has any recommendations for OBs/mat. fet spec/hosp to deliver out there, I would really appreciate it! TIA!

Reedy, I asked my friend who is an OB and did her residency at UC Davis. She had a baby while up there and I asked her about your twin OB question. She said she didn't know, but she loved her OB, Sherrie McElvy.
Here is a link to the practice:

She said Sutter is a really wonderful hospital, very upscale and nice. You could always ask this OB or her practice for a referral to someone who specializes in twins. My friend said you don't necessarily need a multiples specialist as many OBs can work on twin pregnancies.
Good luck!

Hi Reedy - I know I'm answering this kind of late and you probably already found someone, but thought I'd share. I live in the Sac area, Folsom actually. I am 7 wks pg w/ twins through IVF also, and my OB is Dr. Jeffrey Cragun. He delivered my DS 5 years ago and is fantastic. I will be released from my RE in another week and a half and have an appt with Dr. Cragun when I'm 10 weeks. He is affiliated with Mercy Folsom hospital - very good hospital. All single labor/delivery rooms which I found to be a bonus.

Any way, I hope that helps and if you have any questions just let me know. Respond here or pm me. Good luck!
