Need some advice..

My babies will be here sometime next month, I am 29 weeks today, and I haven't bought a thing for my babies, but my question is, Is it better to use one crib or two? I live in a 2 bedroom apartment, leaving within a year because I have no room in here with 3 kids. I was thinking on getting just one crib.. What you think?

Congratulations! I am also 29w with twins! We are using our existing crib for now as they'll be so small and then we don't need two bassinets. We're actively house hunting and when we have a bedroom for each, we will buy a second crib set. They sell crib separators (trying to find on line now) to extend the use of one crib. Now, I have heard a few twin moms say it's better if they're separated so they don't wake each other and such. Since I have no experience with that aspect, we're going to try one and go from there!!!

Wish you the best.

For our triplets we used one crib for about 3 months. All were on monitors and one had a feeding tube but they still slept together. Once they started moving around more in their sleep then we moved them to seperate cribs. It is amazing to me that they never woke each other up and they still don't and they are almost 4 years old now.

One thing to keep in mind, if you are going to get two cribs eventually buy them at the same time. Some stores (like Babies-r-Us) will give a multiples discount on high ticket items as long as they are the same thing.

Good luck

Congrats! My twins slept in the same crib for about 2 months. They are now in seperate cribs but in one room. For the first week or so after i seperated them, they seemed a little "lost" without their brother, but they are fine now in fact, they are two of the best little sleepers around
