Maternity Support belts/braces...worthwhile?...recommendations?

Hi there! Just wondering if any multiple moms out there have had experience with maternity support braces/belts.

Do they help?

What kind do you recommend?

Here's a website with a variety of different braces, if you would like to refer to it....

Thanks!

I tried a support belt. It was too uncomfortable. And baby A didnt like it at all. The fabric was itchy too.

Oh yes!! My back killed me with both pgs esp with my twin pg. I wore a belt from 18 wks until about 7 mo or so probably. Wear it low on your belly and take it off when you are sitting down.

I couldn't stand the 'confined' feeling, it made me more uncomfortable. However, I was working a desk job; if I would have been on my feet more often I can see how it might have helped to take some of the stress off of my back. Are you on your feet a lot? With quads, I suspect you might be dealing with a situaiton different than mine.

I used a belt when I was out and about to help hold up my big belly. It really took a load off my back. I was pregnant all in front, and after awhile it started to really take it's toll on my back.

ETA: Mine was like the mini cradle.

I am a bigger mom and the ones that would have fit me were all the over-shoulder types, and I didn't want one of those. I was extremely uncomfortable with anything tight on or near my belly. I never wore one, but I was on bedrest (triplets) by 25 weeks so I wasn't up and around very much.

Wow, quads...congratulations!

I guess Im the only one who LOVES mine! I got one from Babies R Us, actually I have 2 different ones from Babies R Us and the less expensive one that was $15 is my fav!!! I have a desk job and I wear it from the time I go to work until I crawl in bed at night to watch TV! Sitting, standing, walking, doing chores around the house I always have it on and LOVE it! Ive been wearing since about 15w. I can TOTALLY tell the difference if I dont wear it around on the weekends, my lower belly aches and I find myself carrying my belly until I get home and put my belt on! GL!!

I loved mine as well... after trying out several I ended up preferring one like the softform maternity belt on that link you sent. I got mine at BRU. I did not use the top strap. I used it mostly to walk from the parking lot to my OB appts and it helped so much!!
