How far along are you? 32w3d with identical girls
Weight gain? not even 30 lbs, my OB wants me to gain more, but I don't know how to eat any more than I already am!
Daily water intake? 100 oz plus
Appointment updates? Saw the OB and peri last week, all's well; girls are measuring 4.3 and 4.2; start NSTs tomorrow morning
Symptoms / changes in apperance ? really waddling now, ankles are starting to swell, lots of skin tags (had that last pregnancy too)
What are you doing to prepare for your babies arrival? started taking stuff out (bassinet, carseats) so my toddler could get used to having them around. He's putting Elmo in them and pretending he's the baby.
Other ? Mentally struggling (more than physical). Today is 11 wks on bedrest, and I can't take any more, but it's too early for the babies to come.
Pictures anyone?? on my blog: Bedrest Blues

How far along are you? 22w2d w/Twins ?/?
Weight gain? 14 lbs as of Last Thursday!!!
Daily water intake? Not near enough but I am still trying!!!
Appointment updates? Nothing this week.
Symptoms / changes in apperance ? My belly is starting to get bigger and people are starting to notice I am PG. Heartburn; Congestion; and I am not sleeping well at all. Other than that....I feel GREAT still most of the time!!!
What are you doing to prepare for your babies arrival? DH is still working on the basement...and I am cleaning out and organizing closets and cabinets. We finally registared last week so we are starting to get things moving.

How far along are you? 35w4d
Weight gain? 42 lbs as of yesterday!
Daily water intake? plenty -- around 75-100 oz.
Appointment updates? Yesterday my cervix grew again!!
Back to 2.5-2.8 from 1.8 the previous week. I told my peri I was going to start walking the dog, he raised his eyebrows and said "well, that's why you're still outpatient."
Symptoms / changes in apperance ? Oh, I don't think I can change much more. The woman checking me out of my peri's office asked whether I was carrying 2 or 3. So that gives you the idea. My hips hurt from bed rest, I can barely walk, when I do stand or walk my pelvic area hurts pretty bad, etc., etc. But hey, only a couple more weeks at the most!
What are you doing to prepare for your babies arrival? We are getting to a pretty good place. Sent my MIL our wish list for some essentials that we seem low on (e.g. hats & receiving blankets). Need to install the car seats and set up the pack n plays so we have changing areas on every floor. Going to hang the quilt from one of the crib sets as a wall hanging since it's cute and we have huge empty walls. Ordered some window treatments -- yippee! Counting down.
Other ? Big issue is whether insurance will pay for my terb pump through 38 weeks when our c-section is scheduled for (3/10). Otherwise we will probably deliver at 37 weeks instead and I'd really rather wait.
But I am hoping my peri can talk them into it.
Gina CA -- I posted on your blog but I probably won't go back there, so if you respond could you do so here? Thanks and best of luck everyone!!

Symptoms / changes in apperance ? swelling,congestion,pain in groin,can't sleep,yada yada,yada
What are you doing to prepare for your babies arrival? just ordered a nursing gown, pajamas, and a couple of nursing tank tops. Trying to finish organizing nursery, but I get too tired.

How far along are you? 15w4d- I feel like such a rookie compared to the rest of you.
Weight gain- 10 lbs.
Daily water intake- approx 100oz. Some days I do much better than others.
Appt updates- OB appt 3/8 and level II with Peri on 3/15.
Symptoms- Trouble sleeping due to difficulty getting comfortable and getting up every hour to pee.
What are you doing to prepare- It's early, but we've already purchased a lot of little necessities and the car seats. Whenever we find an needed item on sale, we go ahead and pick it up.
Other- Can't wait to be as far along as the rest of you. Maybe some of my constant worrying will diminish by then.______________________________

How far along are you? 24w6d-g/g twins!
Weight gain? 29 lbs.
Daily water intake? I'm sure not enough, but trying my best!
Appointment updates? Going today at 2pm AND Friday to have cervix checked. At 24w Level II on Thursday, Cervix had shortened from 3cm to 2.2cm in one week. I'm really scared and am anxious to find out how much it has shortened since then! I can't help but feel that I'm going to be admitted to the hospital on bedrest soon! But anything for my girls...I HAVE to keep them in longer!
Symptoms / changes in apperance ? Nosebleeds, stuffy nose, getting really big, cervix shortening issues
What are you doing to prepare for your babies arrival? Looking for a new and bigger apartment!!
Other ? I'm so worried about IC!!! We'll see what today brings.........most likely will be starting my disability from work immediately, rather than 3/27 which I was originally planning!

How far along are you? 18 weeks
Weight gain? about 10 lbs.
Daily water intake? not enough, I'm backsliding
Appointment updates? Went to peri last week and found out we're having a boy and a girl. They're sitting in an L shape right now. It looks like the girl is kicking the boy's head. U/s pics were really cool and this pg is starting to feel more real
Symptoms / changes in apperance ? Getting big and it's harder to stand up from sitting position. Nosebleeds, continued m/s, lack of appetite. It feels like babies are pushing on my uterus and I think I may have felt my first flutters on my right side
What are you doing to prepare for your babies arrival? Going to register this weekend. My mom is doing enough clothes buying for us right now. She's got us covered!
Other ? Fortunate enough to get through a grueling 10 hour job interview yesterday. I'm sooo glad I didn't get sick. Thank God for zofran! Well, thank God in general--I think he was looking out for me yesterday.

How far along are you? 24w2d with twin girls (they *think* they are both girls anyway
)
Weight gain? lost a pound as of my appt yesterday so my net gain so far is 7 lbs. No biggie, I'm eating well and was very overweight to begin with.
Daily water intake? around 100 oz
Appointment updates? We had a regular OB appt. yesterday. Everything with the pregnancy and babies is fine, hb's were great, he said baby A seems to be head down and B is probably breech, bp was fine, etc. He said he has a hard time remembering I am having twins because I haven't had any complications yet. Which is great IMO! I'm loving this very boring pregnancy.
Bad news - I have a URI and a fever from that. I saw my PCP on Tues. and he gave me amoxicillan which hadn't really started to help. My oB wants me on z-pack (he thinks its more effective and less likely to cause a yeast infection) so I switched over yesterday. He also told me I could take ibuprofen up to the 3rd trimester and since I was feeling sooo awful I went home and did just that. And I do feel better now.
Other intersting things from the OB appt - the peri I saw 2 weeks ago sent notes to my OB and they didn't quite jive with what the peri told me the day of the appt. Biggest thing being that he wants to do a 3D scan at a different facility (per the notes to the OB) and he had told me to just come back in 4 weeks (to the same facility) for a repeat 2D scan.
Also the percentiles he quoted to me were different (49th and 53rd) vs. the notes he sent to my OB (54th and 57th). Neither thing is a huge deal, just weird. The big thing they are looking for in the percentiles is that they are close which they are.
Oh, my blood sugars have been creeping up and I've been concerned, er, frightened that my ob will put me on insulin. He didn't (yet) but we talked about possibilities of why this is happening and suggested some changes to my diet. So we'll see if it helps. It may have been because I was getting sick too, he said BG readings nearly always get higher when we're sick.
Symptoms / changes in apperance ? Biggest thing this week has been me being so sick, all things pg related are about the same.
What are you doing to prepare for your babies arrival? We bought car seats from a local mom of twins and I was supposed to pick them up this week but couldn't b/c I was too sick so I'll go get them next week. I had dh bring down all the boxes of baby clothes from the attic and I sorted through all of them. Hopefully the peri is right about these 2 being girls LOL! I sorted out all the girl stuff and bought some matching twin girls stuff on Ebay too.
I now feel like I was jumping the gun a little *and* overbuying, we now have 2 huge plastic totes full of just the 0-3 and 3-6 month sizes! oops.
My mom and I cleaned out the dresser we will be using for the babies' changing table. I don't plan to put anything into it for a couple months but it feels great that it's ready to go. I think we have everything else we need. In a couple months we will put the crib together, wash all the clothes, sheets and cloth diapers and set up the swings and bouncy seats.
Other ? I'm going to try to remember to start calling doulas and lactation consultants next week and see if I can find one of each.Last edited by KSLS; 02-24-2006 at 05:29 AM.
