When will AF show up after a miscarriage?

This has been one emotional roller coaster that just won't seem to end for me. I just was wondering when AF usually comes after a miscarriage?

Here is a little history. I miscarried 2/7 at around 5 weeks. I have had to keep testing my beta until it reaching 0. Needless to say it hasn't yet. I am supposed to get another one done on Tuesday. My last level was in the 120's. I am praying on Tuesday that it is now negative. Anyway, I thought for sure last week that AF was coming. My boobs started to hurt really bad and I was a little crampy off and on. Last Sunday I started spotting brown discharge (sorry TMI). It's never heavy, I don't even need a pad. It is just when I use the bathroom and wipe. It is not all the time but has happened every day since then. Occasionally I will get a little pink and think "OK I'm about to start" and then it goes right back to brown or not even there. I'm getting so frusterated! My boobs have continued to hurt and I am just so ready for this to be over.

Has anyone else ever had this happen? WHen did you get AF after a miscarriage? My last miscarriage wasn't like this at all so Im just so confused. Please help. Any and all reponses are appreciated.

Im so sorry for your loss. This is one of the very frustrating thing about miscarriages. I would check with your dr abt doing an ultrasound to make sure you don't have retained tissue. That could explain the spotting, but it could also put you at risk for infection. Most women don't get a period until after their beta goes down to zero.

I've had recoveries a few ways: My shortest recovery was when hCG was 51 and I O'd 1 week later. My longest recovery was after hCG was 0 but I bled on-and-off until I O'd 4 weeks later - it was a treatment cycle so I think my hormones took a while to regulate. Wishing your hCG continues to decrease and your full recovery is around the corner...
