Anyone mc after amnio?

Hi,

I was really against doing an amnio this time, but my screening came back positive with a 1:58 chance for Downs. So after agonizing a lot, I am scheduled to have an amnio in 2 weeks. I know the chances of complications is low, 1:300, and likely less. But I was wondering if anyone had a bad experience with amnio and what I should be looking for or how to prepare. Thanks!

I do not know anyone who's had a bad experience. I will mention that my friend mc'd the morning of her amnio and if it had been just a few hrs later she would have thought the amnio caused it. I know more friends who had amnios and healthy full-term pgs.

Wishing you boring amnio results (wink) and a long and boring pg!! (smile)
