Hello everyone & congratulations! Found out almost 2 wks ago that I'm PG with #2, I'm 5 wks. I have PCOS & took a long time to conceive #1. It took 26 mo to conceive this time with help of an RE. I was on injectables, but overstimmed & had 8 mature follies. I didn't take the trigger shot, or do IUI. It happened with BD only one time! So far my beta looks like a singleton, but the u/s is in a week, so we'll see.
Also, I wanted to mention, Lynette, that my DS (age 3) is autistic too. Any tips for preparing him for a new sibling would be appreciated. So far I'm mostly pointing to my belly & telling him "baby". But it's so hard to tell what he comprehends. Good luck to everyone, I hope others join in as well. Kathy (34) 5wks

hello everyone. Well I have known for a while because I am 17 weeks but after I lost one of the twins I didn't participate as often on the boards. This will be my second child I have a three and a half year old son. I too have PCOS. I have been very fortunate and Both times that I have tried to become pregnant treatment has worked within a year.
Unfortunately with this pregnancy I have had many complications mostly due to my egg donation and my reaction to the stim meds. Looking forward to enjoying the rest of my pregnancy with everyone. I am due May 30th but I will likely go much earlier. |

wishing, I was high risk with my last 2 children and it seemed like the never ending dr appt's. But I have to admit that I loved the all the u/s's.
Please keep us posted about all your appt's. Feel free to vent, express any concerns you have or ask any questions too. I usally pop in the evenings when I get off from work and get all the children settled in. Especially once the youngest ones are in bed. Take Care, Lynnette

wishing, I'm sorry for your loss and for the complications with your other baby. I hope the rest of your PG goes smoothly, but I know how hard it is to enjoy your PG when there's so much to worry about.
I had lots of complications with my DS & have been spotting almost nonstop with this one too. The U/S showed a HB today, so I'm trying not to worry too much. Sometimes I wonder if it's this hard for so many of us to get PG & sustain it, then what will it be like for the future generations. From what I understand IF is growing pretty rapidly. Anyway, does anyone have any experience with OHSS? Apparently my rt ovary has 10 cysts, 4 are 60+ mm in size. I'd like to know how long to expect them to last. Of course that ? didn't enter my mind when at the appt today. Kathy due 08/06

happy scrappy thanks for your kind words.
I actually suffered from sever OHSS and still do. I had to be drained, a twisted overy, from rupturing cysts and needed hospitalization . I still have lots of cysts. From what I have been told from my specialists I will be enlarged for a few more months maybe even until the birth. My cysts either rupture, or will slowely shrink and hopefully disappear but they said it will take at least 4 more months. It will probably last a few months. I have also been told by all the doctors that I have seen that the cysts are not a danger to the baby. |
