Hey there. I wanted to see if anyone has experienced low fetal heart rates early on and gone on to a successful pregnancy?
A little about me. Found out on Wednesday we were expecting twins. I was 6 wks along. Baby a measuring 2 days behind but hb of 110. Baby b measuring a day behind and hb of 96. Next day, yesterday, started bleeding. Ended up being a sub chronic hematoma. Checked the babies again. Baby a didnt grow and hb of 80. Baby b grew and hb of 100-110. So baby a is now struggling. I know we don't want heart beats below 90. So I feel as if I'm just waiting to miscarry now.
Anyone have experience?

Nicole, according to one study I find, at 6.0-6.2w about 1 in 2 women that had a babe with heartrate 80-89 had successful pgs, at 6.3w it was 10 in 100. Every day counts. Aren't you earlier in 6w than later? Hopefully one of the 1 or 10 success stories will see your post. I didn't readily find anything about variation in early HR. Do you happen to have a lower resting HR yourself? What was baby a's CRL? Silly Q, but can babe a/b positions get mixed up? Prayers for your babes both.

Thanks Sheryn for the data. I haven't found much. I was 6.1 on thurs when hb was low. Uve given me some hope. I'm still sad and depressed but praying it'll come back. I don't know about my hb actually and the dr didnt say anything about crl. What is that? I'm also not sure If they can get messed up in position. I'm praying too! I hope someone has a good success story for me! Need some faith!

Voleyangel, just wanted to offer some some hugs. I had a small hematoma with ds#2 & it did resolve. They watched things for a bit. When is your next us? I hope the babes have caught up by then. Keep us posted & you could try posting on the multiples board to get more responses.

Excellent!!!!! Wow... that is such great news.
If I recall correctly, at 6w the HR goes up 3 bpm each day (1 mm CRL), so since the babes are measuring 3 days apart (3 mm CRL), it makes sense they are at least 9 bpm separate. That's just reverse engineering and may not apply whatsoever, but numbers give me comfort. Of course you are there to see and hear them - the best comfort ever!
