Just got back from the Dr. today. It took over a month, but I finally got in to see an OBGYN....and wouldn't you know it, I seemed fine today!!!!!!!!!!! Just like when you call the plumber for a leaky pipe and when he comes, it is perfect. I have been cramping and spotting on and off for 43 days and today, NOTHING! My HCG levels have been going down, up, down, and up, up. I even had to go to the ER last Saturday. My HCG then was still at 71 (it had gone up again). So, today, while at OBGYN, he wants to test my HCG again and possibly schedule a D&C if they are still up. I said, "I am SURE they will be elevated as I have been cramping all along up to yesterday. Also, this morining I took another home PG test and it is still coming back positive!!" I wanted to go ahead and schedule the D&C to save having to waste time with just another regular Dr. visit. He insisted on waiting for his office lab results of my HCG. He ordered them "STAT" so I was lucky enough to get them back today. However, they came back at 2, which means no longer PG! This is good news I guess, but I couldn't believe it!!!!!!!!! How could they take 38 days to get from 236 to 71 (going up and down), then POOF, down to 2 in only five days??? I guess it's good as means M/C finally over, but it almost seems too good to be true. Dr. also did an U/S and said all looked Normal. He sounded surprised, as he had me pegged for PCOS but my ovaries were nice and healthy with no cysts (I had already told him I didn't have cysts on my ovaries, but he didn't believe me, had to see for himself I guess). He said he next wants to put me on BC pills for at least one cycle and then start me on clomid. I thought this wierd. Why do I need BC pills? Can't I just take the clomid? Has anyone else's Dr. had them do this? Thanks for the help! {{hugs}}
